Days Inn

Don’t be fooled by the nice office, this place is ghetto and dirty. The towels aren’t even big enough to wrap around your body, the carpet turns your feet black, the toilet didn’t stop flushing, and the shower water was brown. There wasn’t even any hbo like the sign said! Had to leave asap.

One important piece of advise: If you ever plan on visiting Columbus, GA for a graduation or other event at Ft. Benning, be sure to make your hotel reservations well in advance. Otherwise, you’ll be stuck at the Days Inn or the Motel 6.
Having never been here before, I specifically looked for a hotel close to Benning since the only means of transportation is either by rental car or taxi. The concierges were not exactly what I’d call professional, but at least they were friendly. There’s an outdoor pool which I’ve never seen anyone even attempt to clean, though it’s at least clean enough to splash around in. There is a «restaurant» in the game room, which I think is only open for «breakfast». «Breakfast» includes mini-​bagels, store-​bought muffins, some cereal and that scary waffle batter.
My room was fairly clean but smelled like a wet dog the entire time I was there. I had to request for my sheets to be changed because they were itchy.
I guess I’d rather stay here instead of the Motel 6 down the road, but not for more than a day or two.
