Decent pizza. Pretty expensive for an ok tasting pizza. There are pizza chains and frozen pizzas that actually taste better and have deals!

Best pizza in Columbus! Even though we now live 20 minutes away we still get it all the time! There is just nothing like it, great flavor, not greasy like I feel a lot of pizzas here are and the best ingredients! My boyfriend loves their pepperoni and homemade sausage and I prefer the pineapple and ham, both are awesome! So worth it the stop by the ATM before getting it, and its still very cheap too.

«Matty’s Big 10 Pizzas of Columbus»: I am a bit of a fanatic when it comes to the old school pizza joints here in the capital city. The franchise chains and sell-outs(Donato’s and Rotolo’s) have nothing on the original family-owned and run pizza parlors that serve up our uniquely Ohio take on a true pie; thin crust, toppings to the edge, and the square«city» cut. That being said, there are very few of these classic establishments left, and even fewer that I haven’t tried at least once. My quest this summer is tough work; to hit as many as possible and rate the very best. Putting Dante’s on this list is a no-brainier. Easily on of the best and most consistent pies in the city. The small kitchen and classic dining room have that family-owned feel I love. I have never had a bad meal here and the staff is always terrific. Why go to a sterile, cookie-cutter pizza chain location when you can have the real deal. Dante’s on Indianola is a home run. (Double-check before you go because they met be CASHONLY!)

I’m a little disappointed with the pizza. I had high hopes after reading other reviews, but the pizza didn’t do anything for me. The price was fine, the size and thickness of crust is fine, everything else was so so. The sauce had minimal flavor, the cheese was a little boring and bland, and the pepperoni had no zest. Honestly,(and a little sorry to say) it reminded me of cheap frozen pizza flavor despite smelling awesome when I picked it up.

This place caught my eye and wow what a surprise! Really good pizza made from a well seasoned oven. Make their own sausage it looks like. Great flavor and very nice staff.

I love this place. I grew up eating here and now I take my kids there a few times a year. The food is always super good and super fresh. Great local pizza shop. My only reason not to give 5 stars is they don’t take credit cards, its 2015. So we can only go there, days when I have cash on me, which isn’t often.

If your local pizza shop is closed on Sunday, holidays, does not deliver and is cash only — you can bet your sweet bippy their food is DARNGOOD. Dante’s is a simple, real, good pizza-shop. Italian dinners, garlic bread made from sub buns, iceberg lettuce salad with Italian dressing(I don’ t even know if they have other dressings, tbh), and pizza — oh the pizza. Perfect crust thickness, tomato-y sauce, just thatmuch of an edge, crispy on the bottom and chewy in the middle, with just-golden cheese on top — this is one of my «cheat» meals before a race or long workout. It is also baked in a «regular» oven, not a conveyor — maybe this is the secret — turned and moved every few minutes until it’s done. This place is tiny for a pizza parlor, make no mistake. Football Fridays can get a bit crazy between carryout, dining room and people waiting for a table. The décor is 70s rec-room, but that’s not a bad thing — you’ll just have to imagine the shag carpeting.

Great pizza and nice dining area. Has an eclectic feel, but a nice clean restaurant. They serve beer too which goes well with pizza!

Pizza was awesome… sausage was absolutely wonderful and EVERYTHING its hyped up to be. The dining room was clean and neat; just a little chilly. However they had just opened so I’m sure once the oven has been blasting for a bit, the coolness is appreciated. Decent beer selection, and the waitress was super nice(didn’t get her name! X. X). I cannot recommend this place enough. Yes, they are cash & check only. Not bothersome to my husband and I.

OK — I am gonna shoot it to your straight… Dante’s doesn’t take a debit card. WTF? Only cash or check… hmmmm…smh. Their dining room is TINY and looks like late 70’s décor… BUT it was crowded, if that clues you in at all. Bathroom is soooo tiny. Pizza is good as hell! Like, sale your soul — good as hell! Pitchers of beer were $ 8…I don’t think I need to say anymore about it… I think you are picking up what I am laying down.

This place just may be my new favorite pizza in Columbus. For real. It reminds me of the little pizza shop in my hometown. They told me when I got there that they only take cash or check, which is nice to know up front. I was eating there, so we grabbed a table in the dining room. It’s pretty small, maybe 8– 10 tables, seating 2 – 4 each. We ordered garlic bread and a medium pizza. The GB came out really quickly, and it was perfectly buttery garlicky and crispy on the bottom, soft on the top. The pizza is square cut, fairly thin crust, which I love. Everything was perfect. Nothing gourmet, but everything had just the right balance. The pepperoni was crisped on the edges, the sauce is delicious, and the cheese was gooey and stringy. Yum! Everyone was super friendly. It’s just a basic hometown pizza shop pumping out delicious pies with a smile!

The best pizza in town. No question. I usually order a double mushroom or a bacon and mushroom and there is nothing like it. The crust is thin, the cheese tastes like cheese, and the toppings are distributed quite well. The only issue is the cutting style. It’s a circular pizza but not cut into wedges but a combo of parallel and perpendicular lines. The salad is good, but a bit oily. You have to eat all of it because it does not keep like the pizza. The sandwiches are okay, but nothing I would order again. The menu has other«Italian» style foods, but it’s a pizza place. Get the pizza. The staff is pleasant at the counter. When I bring my kids in to pick up a pizza they give them pepperoni slices, which they think is «awesome». I’ve never eaten in the dining room since I live close by, but it’s usually full. They do cash or check only, so be mindful. I recommend ordering a pizza and picking up something to drink at Weilands next door before you get the finished product.

Pizza is really good. It came out steaming and tasted great. Sauce had a good balance of oregano and basil. The cheese had that nice brown crust to it and wasn’t greasy like some pizzas can have. We got the«All The Way» pizza and it was tasty. It took awhile to get the pizza while we dined in but they serve domestic beers so it was okay. Not good if you are on a tight schedule. Cash is king here — no credit cards accepted.

Fresh well baked Pizza, love the sausage !! Had a pepperoni cheese, and a sausage mushroom, with half tomato green pepper onion. started with a small salad with the house dressing. The dressing and salad were good, the pizza was thin crispy, sauce had a nice flavor. The sausage is addictive full of flavor, but not spicy This place is local family owned staffed with friendly folks, and service was prompt No idea why you would go to a chain when you can dine at a classic family ran pizza, spaghetti house like this ! CASHONLY so come prepared

Central Ohio is full of cracker-crust places, and this is one of them. I’m not a big fan, as you can see from the rating. Light sauce and heavy toppings could add up to a Northwest Ohio-style pizza, something I’d like to find a good replica of in the area. But, the crust is just not very good. I’ve thought about asking them to put the garlic bread butter on the bottom before they cook it, that may right the ship. But in the meantime, I’m going other places. Oh, and note they don’t take credit cards, but Weiland’s will give you cash back so you could go do a little shopping and then come pick up.

Great pizza and pasta, they only take cash or check! This has become our go to pizza spot. Gnocchi is great too. It is close to our house and the service is quick. Only have gotten take away, been meaning to sit down and hang out there for a few but have not yet.

I came over last night for dinner. The dining room was a little small but it was bigger than I was expecting. They had a ton of people working in the kitchen making pizzas but that’s not what I came for. I wanted pasta! So after looking at the menu, I chose lasagna. That came with a house salad and a warm dinner roll. I could have done without the roll because I ordered garlic bread with cheese for dinner. The lasagna came out and it didn’t look very good. What started out as several layers had collapsed down to two or so after it was reheated. But it tasted okay and I finished it. The bread was okay too. The salad was just lettuce in a bowl with some Italian dressing added and one slice of tomato. Overall, my dinner was«okay» as my rating reflects, but not good enough to come back for.

My boyfriend and I stopped here after shopping at Weinland’s Market. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and some garlic bread. I was a little confused that they didn’t take credit/debt cards, but we luckily had cash. The pizza didn’t take long — only about 20 minutes. The flavor of the pizza was good. I really did not like the crust of the pizza because the edges were way too crunchy. The cheese kept falling off every time I took a bite. There was also way too much sauce for my taste. Overall, it was decent. I probably won’t go out of my way to eat there though.

Great pizza and spaghetti, nice family run business does great carry out business. Dining room is kind of small and usually only one wait person. They don’t have a soda fountain so all soft drinks are by the can. They are also, I believe the last businss in Columbus in 2012 that doesn’t take credit cards, they will take a check though.
