I love Dale’s Deli. I will usually grab lunch there whenever I am in the office. The staff is friendly and remembered my name after visiting a couple of times. The food has always been good with fresh ingredients. Baked Potatoes are definitely worth a try but I usually prefer something lighter for lunch. I am a big fan of the quesadillas myself.

Went for wi-fi. Bought food because you should if you’re using their wi-fi for 5 min. Lets start with the bacon, ranch pasta. So dry you really had to wash it down with something. Diet Coke was great but its in a bottle. Th panini’s smelled good but never got around to ordering. Wi-fii wasn’t working. I asked for more directions and was told just login in. OK, so I tried, then tried with my phone. The manager said it was my computer not their wifi. Then they showed me their phones were connected. Clearly they don’t know much, you can connect to any unsecured wi-fi that doesn’t mean you’re connected to the internet. I tried to help him and explain that connecting to the wi-fi didn’t guarantee access to the internet. He was beyond rude. He told his counter girl to stop speaking to me about it and told me to «Stop talking about it. We weren’t discussing it anymore.» What business owner speaks to a customer like that. RUDE is an understatement. I was at no time short or rude and tried to explain that I could help and began to explain when he said we are done with this and turned his back on me. Talk about an a-hole. RUDE does not begin to describe his behavior. Fortunately I was recording his remarks and will be posting for all to see. Meantime, don’t stop, don’t patronize a clearly rude, inconsiderate and technologically constipated individuals business. I’ve found those who don’t understand technology just refuse to deal with it. I’m guessing he is secretly embarrassed by his stupidity and tries to deflect with rudeness. Too bad, he could’ve gotten some free help and maintained a customer. Now, tough … by the looks of his crown, 1 other person, he wont be around long anyways.

I’m curious about the other reviews for Dale’s. I’ve always had good, friendly service and the food is really good for a deli. I had the reuben today, along with a side of pita and hummus. The cashier said the hummus is homemade, and after devouring the entire thing, I believe it. It had a good taste(bell pepper, maybe?) and fluffy texture. I personally like a little more garlic in my hummus, but again, I ate the whole thing happily. Beef on the reuben was good too. I can’t judge on the bread because I didn’t eat it for a good half hour so it was sorta soggy by that time after being wrapped up the whole time. Totally my fault though! I’ll gladly return to Dale’s the next time I’m down in the building for an appointment – have been going for a few years now.

I really want to like this place — small businesses rock. But not this place. It was empty, and smelled like failure. Now I know why. $ 7 for a Caesar salad. $ 3 extra for chicken. Styrofoam cups(I didn’t even know they still made those! Mother Nature be damned). The coffee was old and they only offer three teas — the bagged Walmart variety. It’s called a deli, but there were exactly 2 «deli» style sandwiches($ 9 a pop). The rest of the menu was a mix of uninspiring wraps and overpriced paninis. But you know what? I can take all that. Maybe they’re just getting started. Maybe they’re just finding their thing. I can be flexible with those things. What I CANNOT be flexible with is rudeness. Flat out hostility. No greeting. No conversation(there was no one else in the building!). No suggestions, no thank yous, no goodbyes. Just snatch my money and toss my change on the counter. I asked if they had wifi and got THREE different snarky responses. Then he didn’t bother giving me the password; I had to go find him again and ask for it after all that! Unacceptable. If you hate your life, go stock shelves somewhere. He answered the phone while I was there so I heard his name, but it doesn’t matter because I’ll never be back. I think he was the owner. I wouldn’t buy water from this place. This is why people hesitate to try mom and pops, and that offends me.

It’s a tiny place but the people behind the counter are really nice, the food is affordable on even a small budget and they have a decent amount of choices! I got the soup of the day which was Turkey chili and it was pretty solid! I see other people have pointed out that the food isn’t the highest quality but its a deli inside a business district, it’s supposed to be quick and filling. I will definitely be coming back, yes it’s not gourmet but it is better than a lot of other options around.

I ordered a buffalo chicken wrap that was drenched in Red Hot sauce. The sauce was puring out of the wrap when I was holding it and eating it. Instead of preparing buffalo chicken looks like they just cooked some chicken breast and dumped hot sauce on it as they put it in the wrap. I also ordered pasta salad, which looked great in the refrigerated case. I am not exaggerating: there were as many slices of jalapenos and banana peppers as pieces penne pasta. This meal was GROSS!

Dale’s is right near my office, but I have a feeling it won’t be there for long. It replaced Zupa… somehow. Their soup is pretty good, I will give them that. Their wraps are«meh» and WAYOVERPRICED. Just a sandwich with no sides is close to $ 7. Add fruit or a bag of chips and you are pushing ten bucks. You can eat at Panera for less than that! And believe me, that’s a much better option. Recently, we decided to give it another try. My boyfriend ordered the Southwestern Chicken wrap to take back to the office for lunch. When asking for a pickle on the side, they told him it would be another $ 2! Granted, they are large pickles… but seriously? He actually bartered them down to $ 1(I am so proud), then made the trek back up Nationwide to go back to work. He sat down at his desk, unwrapped his sandwich to find out it was missing most the ingredients! He called the deli to confirm what was supposed to be on the wrap. Yep, missing… pretty much everything. He packed it up, walked back down Nationwide to return the sandwich for the correct wrap. They gladly remade it and gave him no refund. Instead… a 10% OFFYOURNEXTORDERCOUPON. Are you kidding me? What an insult and horrible customer service. Topped with their mediocre food, this storefront will likely be changing soon. I will not be returning to Dale’s. Want a better and cheaper option? Head over to Caroline’s in the Belmont Building for a smiling face, great food and cheap prices! However, bring cash – because she doesn’t take cards.
