This was my first time going to a Cracker Barrel in a long time. I was never much of a fan of the food, but the family really wanted to go so I brought them along.
First impression was pretty bad. The hostess never acknowledged or even looked at me. I had to initiate the conversation with her and she acted like I was a nuisance for talking to her. She was very disrespectful.
Very few people were in the restaurant and we were seated right next to another couple. We asked to move over a table so our kid wouldn’t annoy them and the waitress gave us attitude that no one was working that table.
The food was decent. Mine was really good, but my wife’s eggs weren’t done properly and there was hair in her gravy. It was pretty gross.
The waitress was pretty rude at first, but got better as the meal went on.
The manager came by a couple times and was really nice. He was definitely the nicest person we saw in the store all morning.

I like the pancakes. Everything else I have tried was low mediocre to bad. I wasn’t even sure the scrambled eggs were real eggs or at least not reconstituted. I buy bargain bacon from Kroger and microwave it and it is much better than the bacon here. Stick with the pancakes.

I recently coordinated a lunch bunch for 12 girls/​children and they went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. The host is always polite along with every server we have ever had there.

Worst service I’ve ever had. Service was horrible. Got my order completely wrong. I asked for a hamburger with mayo only and server looked at me like it was the most complicated thing ever and I had to repeat myself a million times. Drinks were empty the whole time. Never got half of my order. It was just an awful experience. I don’t recommend this place to anyone.

Any place that serves breakfast all day gets my vote! The Cracker Barrel in Columbus just opened and it’s clean, fast, convenient, and friendly. We went for breakfast on a Sunday before the church crowds. The employees blew me away with their enthusiasm and helpfulness. They refilled our coffees promptly and our orders were made to perfection. I’ll definitely be returning whenever I’m in the mood for a good, southern-​style breakfast!
