Colony Square is a fairly decent place to reside. I lived there for two years during college at OSU — it was fairly cheap for the apartment when shared — ended up being about 325/person. There is a pool in the front that was well-kept when I was there, however, I can’t vouch for the current state with the current management. Jim Spiegel was the manager when I was there — and he did an excellent job at keeping the residency clean/maintained and fun. The noise at the apartment was not too bad — however, the walls are thin so if you live next to someone who plays loud music — it might be a miserable experience. However, management should be able to handle that concern. The area is extremely diverse, a mosque down the street and an opportunity to intermingle with Chinese, Korean, etc. Overall — I think it is A-OK, but nothing more/nothing less. Parking was free and abundant when I lived there, which was a big perk(I don’t know if they changed that policy). The maintenance man(Jason) did an excellent job if he’s still there. I never had an issue with theft personally — can’t attest to others.

pros: — cheap — good location for price — pool(in the summer) — grills provided — warm in the winter — sufficient space — kroger is close cons: — sweltering hot in the summer(no central ac) — carpet was filthy, wanted us to pay more to replace and lastly — the pool from september — may. management didn’t drain the pool during the entire fall and winter, which now means during april, we’re looking out at essentially a lake that is full of algae, trash, and leaves. i would’ve given this place a 4⁄5 if it weren’t for this last issue.
