My friends and I visited on June 13 and had a wonderful time! The show was«Spyballs.» The actors were superb; the food was delicious; the experience was memorable. I highly recommend Cloak & Dagger to anyone looking for a fun evening of dining and entertainment.

Every month there is a comedy show here. My friend Patsy B, a very funny lady, hosts this show. There are lots of great comics that take the stage here. First Wednesday of every month I believe. Make sure you catch a show! Great fun!

I had somewhat low expectations after reading the previous reviews. I don’t like«participating» in campy shows or small talking with actors, but that was kept to a minimum. I went with my my family, which included my parents, and my adult siblings. We are all over 24, and it is hard to find«family fun» in Columbus that we haven’t done before. COSI, the zoo, the theatre, blue jackets… we have done all of it before. I have never gone to any sort of dinner theatre before, but I thought it was great. The whole family enjoyed themselves, and we had«family fun!» Note that the show is rated PG-13 before you go bringing your whole family, mind you. The show itself WAS campy, because it was«Mystery at Camp Killapunk.» The actors mulled about and gave us popcorn while we waited for the show to begin. That was perhaps the worst part of all for this introvert, because my mom would say embarrassing things like«my kids should know how to tie knots, they went to camp!» Thanks mom, lol. Once the introduction got rolling and the actor Phillip/Porky started singing, it got good. He has a great voice and wowed us with a cover of a Sam Smith song. I also loved the cover of «Tribute» which I haven’t heard in forever. The show started for real, some original songs were sung to revel some plot aspects. The rest of the songs in the show were covers or covers with song words changed. I much preferred this to the original songs personally. We were served salad, buffet dinner, coffee, and cheesecake throughout the show. The show was good, the food was good, I really have no complaints! We had to turn in our answers for the murderer earlier than expected, it caught my family off guard. Honestly there was very little evidence to predict the outcome, but a few of us got it right. All the actors did a great job but I really thought Phillip was a star. As I said, it was a great family evening, though it would also work as a fun date night or friends night. I would love to go to another show sometime, but I will say it isn’t cheap, $ 50 a person.

Had to cancel our reservations a day before we were supposed to go see the show, due to the death in the family. I was made aware that their policy was to not give refunds, but that this time an exception would be made. A month later the charge had not been resolved. I called and talked to Steve who told me that his manager was the one responsible for refunds, and he was on vacation until the following Thursday. At which point the money would be refunded. Another month went by, and still no refund. Called again, this time I tried the main number, and they told me to call Steve again. I called him, and explained again about the situation, he told me that the policy was that they don’t give refunds, just replacement seats. I told him that I had talked to him a month ago, and that he said he was going to take care of it. This is when Steve«remembered» me, but told me I never mentioned a death in the family. He told me that they probably just decided not to refund the money and that I would get replacement tickets, which were good for«Like, up to a year!» I asked him why he never felt it necessary to call me and let me know that this was this decision, to which he admitted he probably should have done that. I agreed, and told him that after all of this, we were absolutely not interested in replacement tickets. I asked him to refund our money, and call me to let me know when it was taken care of. Still waiting, Steve. Look, if you want to see a dinner theater, I’m told that the show was pretty funny. I wouldn’t know, I was helping my wife mourn the loss of a loved one. Hard to be in the mood for dinner theater after you attend a funeral. I can’t speak to the quality of the food, couldn’t tell you if the actors were any good, and I couldn’t tell you about the service at the theater. But if the customer service I have received is any indication, I don’t have high hopes. All of this would have been so easy to fix… just a simple refund of two seats… or just tell me you aren’t going to refund my money from the start. Save your money folks. Go support real theater instead.

What a fun time. The food was absolutely fantastic(buffet style means I get more). There are multiple shows running and the actors work really hard. I will definitely go back!

You get what you pay for… but not here. The ‘musical’ was what I expected — bad. But that was part of the fun. It was very campy which was even more funny considering the setting was a summer camp. The food for a gourmet caterer was HORRIBLE. The meat was like leather, and the other food was cold. The desert was small. The bar was way over priced. Won’t be back.

First off I will say that we had an absolute blast when we went. Our group completely enjoyed ourselves regardless of the circumstances. Service was excellent the actors/waiters were very friendly and attentive. I really expected more from the food given it was Shane’s. It was however buffet food the chicken was extremely tough and rubbery they ran out of one of the main entrees it just wasn’t what I would have expected from Shane’s. The potato salad however was excellent and worth mentioning LOL the dessert was a cheesecake that was tasty but at same time appeared to be «story bought» The play was fun really along the lines of a high school production but very fun. I guess my whole objection with the evening was that it was rather pricey considering what we offered. I would probably rated it higher had it been less costly because I wouldn’t have expected so much or disappointed had I only spent $ 50 – 60 bucks instead of well over $ 100 for the evening. Not upset I went but probably won’t do it again.

Dinner Theater is always kitschy and campy… so if you aren’t prepared to be a good sport, you might as well stay home. The acting is way over the top, but it works … be prepared to be part of the show from the moment you step in the door. If you like mystery, it’s always fun to try and guess who did it and hear some of the funny answers people come up with. Be prepared to have a very«silly» time of it and you won’t be disappointed. Don’t bring your uptight friends or someone who doesn’t like to be put on the spot, those personality types can never roll with it and that is required to enjoy this type of thing. One complaint for this particular group was the wine, it just wasn’t good. Better wine choices would help. I had a good time. It was cute. Also, if you use the online system. be prepared someone will call you and confirm… if you want to sit with other people and you purchased your tickets separately… you will need to let this person know… they could do the ticketing in a smoother process, but its a small group… so give ‘em a break.

My Friend and I went for Valentines day. The play was The Wreck of the Enormous. I had never been to Cloak and Dagger dinner theater before. I had a great time. The cast was wonderful they stayed in character the whole time, which is quite a challenge between serving the meal and drunk hecklers at the front table. The play was hilarious. They provided every female guest with a rose for the Valentine’s day dinner. I wold do this again sometime as I was truly entertained. There were a few not so great things which included parking being sparse, the food was bland and mediocre, and although your meal can come with Coffee and/or iced tea for no additional fee, you have to know to ask for it. Otherwise none for you. To be fair the idea is not the food, which was ok just not great. There may have been a note on the website about overflow parking but I had not thought to look before going, so we had to drive around the ghetto to find parking on a side street. All and all it was a really good time though and I would recommend it with the tips of get their early to get a parking spot in the restaurant parking lot, be aware the food is bland but OK and it is not really about the food but the experience. and if you want the tea or coffee, ask for it when the staff drops by to see how your meal is going. There is a alos a full bar available that you go up to and pay as you go during the meal/play.

My husband surprised me by taking me to the Cloak & Dagger for my birthday this year. It was a fun alternative from a typical dinner-and-a-movie night, but next time, I think we’ll pass. Entertainment: The actors were very spirited; a couple were even outstanding considering the writing of the play was pretty predictable. I would caution parents a bit before taking children under 13, depending on the nature of the show. The one we saw was a wild-west theme, so there was some mild language and a few suggestive lines — you may want to ask before you book. Food: The food was average, but was served hot and in generous portions. I ordered the prime rib, medium and it was served as requested. My husband enjoyed the chicken as well. Value: For the price(about $ 90), I would rather spend a bit more to go to La Comedia in Springboro. It’s a shorter distance from home and the shows they offer are more well known(Hairspray, White Christmas). But, if you live close by and are looking for something out of the ordinary, it’s not a bad place to go. Since the seating is in tables of 8, I would recommend taking a group — being seated with 6 strangers can be fun, but it’s probably not for everyone.

My wife and I spent New Year’s Eve at Cloak and Dagger and we had a wonderful time. As previous reviewers have said, the cast also does the serving of food and drinks, and they stay in character the entire time. If you listen carefully you can even pick up tidbits of information about the play! The plays themselves are very ad libbed — there’s a plot, and lines, but the actors aren’t afraid to stray away a bit to keep things fun and topical. They do a wonderful job of playing to the crowd they have that evening. The drinks were fairly priced and well made. The bartender knows how to make proper drinks, and how to present them as a proper barman. Nice work. The food was good. Some items were outstanding, some were fair, but nothing was uneaten. Meal size isn’t overly huge but enough, you didn’t feel overstuffed like some places. Parking was easy! They have more than adequate spots in front, and their location on Morse makes it easy for taxis to find. It seems a little bit pricey, but when you consider how much you’d normally spend for a show and dinner it’s quite reasonable.

I used to live on Sandy Lane Road, which intersects at Morse Road, and right at that intersection is the Cloak and Dagger Dinner Theatre. So, for my birthday I chose C&D as the place to go. I had a great time. It’s a small theatre which allowed the actors and actresses(who were very good, by the way) to interact with us guests. As we walked in the actors greeted us, already dressed up and in character. During the show and dinner, one of the actors grabbed a lady from a table and started dancing around the room with her. It was a murder mystery, but they kept it lighthearted and I enjoyed that. I also liked how they had us guests write down who we thought was the culprit and have a chance to win a prize if we got it right. The food was good; it had that home-cooked quality. I had the salmon with rice and veggies. It was just the right amount of food and so I had room for dessert later on.

Went here tonight so we could try something different, and I have to say, it was a lot of fun. We both really enjoyed ourselves, the food was pretty good, not great, but definitely better than just edible, and the acting was a good time.
