Classics is the closest thing we have in Columbus to Cheers. It is a huge area and the staff are so friendly and work hard to remember your name and remember your favorite drink. I was deployed for a year and came back to everyone remembering me and welcoming me home. This is also the best spot for Sunday football! They have great specials every week and you’re guaranteed to see your team on one of their screens. Buckets of beer, mimosas, bellinis, and a bloody Mary bar are the perfect addition to their all day brunch specials. They also have a massive outdoor patio and you can play cornhole with your friends while watching the game on their giant projector screen. The food is also excellent and the prices can’t be beat. Great pizza and sandwiches! Finally, they have a great wine selection including my favorite red from Apothic. Stop in and see for yourself!

The bar for the every day man. No pretension, no airs. Good service, good food, good company.

So confused.…do I review Classics? Victory’s? Both? The symbiotic relationship between the two just has me shaking my head. In any event, Tuesday pizza night found me at Victory’s. .. staring at the window where you order from Classics. .. .being handed a Classics menu by the Victory’s bartender, who poured me a beer from Victory’s before I went to the Classics’ window to order my pizza. .. and then having my Classics pizza delivered by Classics’ personnel to my barstool in Victory’s. My head spinning, I took the pie home to devour. Thin and FLAVORFUL, that’s about all I can say about Classics pizza. The crust is thin as thin can be without being too crackery. The toppings were all very good(and what a Victory that Classics uses fresh shrooms!!!). The peps were good and the pizza had a nice victoriously spicy kick. So, if you happen to be in Victory’s, order up a Classics pizza. You will not be disappointed. Definitely north of three stars on the flavor.

Many tv’s to watch sports. Pizza, is just — ok. Every time I have some drinks there for a game there is more beers on my tab than I actually ordered.(I’m not there getting drunk, so its not a case of simply not remembering) I order 3 beers, I pay for 4. I order a round of 5 for the table, I pay for 7. I assume the bartenders friends/regulars are drinking for free and the the cost is being spread out over random peoples tabs.

My fiancé and I recently moved to Columbus from Baltimore and enjoy watching the Ravens. We came to Classics hoping to watch the Ravens here as they advertise as being a sports bar. There were empty seats and the bar wasn’t packed. I asked if they could put the Ravens game on one of the multiple TVs they have. I was told if it wasn’t already on a screen they could not change the TVs as patrons come early to reserve TVs. It wasn’t on a screen so we were out of luck. Poor customer service coming from a sports bar. We left and went to the High Beck and will continue to come here.

The bar itself is a pretty college-esque crowd. The last few times we’ve been they’ve been blaring rap and the whole bar was humping each other. Not my scene… Victory’s next door is a better music scene if you’re into live music. My review is more for the Pizza. We had a mushroom pizza here last night as a closer to our evening of bar hopping in the brewery district. Apparently they close at 12:30(?) on Friday nights which I thought was super odd considering its in between two bars… Regardless, the 2 guys we were with ordered 2 pies for our group. When they came back they said the big guy who took their order was pretty rude and had initially told them they were closed. When asked why they were closing at 12:23, he told them, if they had come 7 minutes later they’d be closed! What?! Then later he came through with a pizza looking like he couldn’t find the customers and we all threw up our hands(roller coaster style haha) saying«hey, we’re over here» and he snapped at us as he walked past barking that ours wasn’t done yet. Sheesh. When the pizza was delivered via our favorite extremely-sweaty-man, it was amazing. It was what a pizzeria pizza should taste like! You know that pizza smell you smell and think«Dayum! That smells amazing»? Well this pizza tastes like that! Like a Pizzeria Pretzel Combo snack! The thing was dripping with cheese! It had the kind of string action you’d see in a commercial! The crust was perfectly thin and very crispy, while the sauce was a perfect mix of sweet/tangy. I’d venture to say one of the top thin crust pizzas in Columbus! I’d give it 5 stars if I hadn’t had to experience ol’ sweaty Groucho McJerk-pants… THEN come here to review to read the other woman there was rude too. I realize it must be terrible dealing with drunk hungry people all night… Food service sucks, I KNOW! But as far as I could tell, there weren’t any chains around the ankles of the staff keeping them there.

Their pizza is good, but not the best in German Village. The service was quick and we picked our food up in less than ten minutes.

The pizza was GREAT! We needed to diversify our carry out pizza ordering from our usual Planks. We ordered a large, supreme pizza from Classics(where Victory’s used to be) and it was surprisingly good. The veggies were fresh, the crust was crispy and the Italian sausage was ideal for such a pizza. It was cooked perfectly. The only complaint I have is the woman who answered the phone was slightly rude and did not install confidence in me that my ordered was properly taken… Sure enough, my boyfriend went to pick it up after 1 half hour, she quoted me 25 minutes, and it was not ready.
