We were just passing through and decided to stop as I hadn’t eaten at one of these in a long time. It was right off the interstate and easy to get to. As soon as we walked in we heard an employee arguing with another employee, and there was already a customer in front of us that heard even more than we did. Employees arguing with each other in front of customers is a big pet peeve of mine and I almost walked back out until my son said he really wanted to try their lobster bites, so I decided to stay. The workers were very pleasant and the food was just okay. We both REALLY liked the lobster bites but I thought the shrimp was super small and the fish was a little greasy. I can say that the green beans were seasoned very well and the broccoli was cooked perfectly. The inside was very clean. I stopped here because my childhood memories came rushing back to me once I spotted the sign and even though I almost walked back out I would stop to eat at this location again.

I had a decent experience dining here. Disclaimer: Don’t expect 5 star status here, it obviously was built as a place to get a quick bite at a decent price. In this regard, I think it delivers rather nicely. Food was prepared quickly, and the price was very reasonable. That being said, I got the shrimp and the portions were fairly small. Overall, I would go again.

I had high hopes for this place. The fish was very good, but the portions were small and the sides are just a too slapped together. I had the fried catfish with fried okra, broccoli and green beans for sides. The okra was a bit slimier than I had expected. The broccoli was well done, but it came in a sweaty little yellow baggie used to heat it up – not terribly appetizing. The green beans were better packaged in a cup. The catfish was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. But it was just two measly pieces. The pictures showed far more generous portions. I would say you get half what the picture shows. I guess my suggestion is to just order the fish a la carte and get two portions. Still pretty inexpensive getting two. I’m getting a sense that everyone might have already known that this it’s a low-key place. If that’s so, let this review confirm it.
