In my last review, I mentioned that this park needs more responsible owners, nothing holds more true to that then my experience yesterday. Nearby Pizzuro Park was closed due to water, so I bought my dog here. This place has been my last resort, even though it’s only a few minutes from my house, there always seems to be something off about the place. Still, I’ve visited and at times even had good experiences with some of the other dogs. But as they say«one person always ruins the party». In particular, there is always this one lady, whom I believe fosters dogs, that brings her entire pack of dogs here, 5 – 6 at a time. And she is always there, like it’s her backyard playpen. Let’s get this straight, in a dog park you’re lucky if you can control a single dog on your own. There is no possible way that you can control a pack of dogs, especially when they actually act like a pack and pick on other dogs. My dog has good recall to come to me, and this ladies pack of dogs ignored her like she didn’t exist. My dog was immediately attacked upon entering the park, and I had to rescue her from two of the aggressive pack dogs when they started biting my dog. Not play biting mind you, full on laying into her backside. Blood was drawn, a vet visit will be had today. I will be contacting the Columbus Parks and asking them to patrol this area and enforce their two dog per owner rule that’s posted on their signage, but I now am looking at a vet bill and recovery time for my dog as a result of a bad owner. So if you pull up to this park, and see half a dozen dogs with only one or two people sitting around, do yourself a favor and just leave.

I am a resident from New York and relocated about 30 minutes away from Columbus. Since it is an off leash dog park I thought this would be great for my dogs to run and play. No one told me how this park is in the WORST area in Columbus. My car window was smashed only to find my belongings missing, which was not much. I could even see my vehicle from the park. People are effin awful. Never will I come here again. On a different note the Columbus police did not even come out to do a report. I had to do it online as i sat in effin glass for a ½ hour and bleeding everywhere from my hands to the back of my calves.

I have not brought my dogs here for a romp YET, but have stopped in for a look around when researching a travel guide for Columbus. It’s OK. The park consists of three fenced-in acres with two gated entrances. There is a pond in which the dogs are allowed to swim, but I’m particular about what«public’ water my dogs swim in. There are separate small dog and large dog areas, which owners are asked to observe on their own, as well as cleaning up after your dog’s messes. As for humans– there’s a porta-john. The dog park is free to the public and is well lit, which is a bonus, given the park is open until 11PM.
