White trash yuppie crap hole. Dirty, nasty place and a rude bartender. Food was disgusting, burger was way overcooked and dry. Wing sauce tastes jarred, like a cheap dirt bar. Way too overpriced for such crap. I wouldn’t even pay the $ 1 for another one of those nasty, disgusting burgers. I tip at least 15% for nominal service. Generally, I tip 10% for bad service. For good service, I will tip up to 50%. The idiot that served me: He got $ 0.10. That’s how bad he was. Purposefully, one dime. Buy a clue.

First time at this location on a Friday night for Happy Hour. Arrived by 6:00, 25 min wait. Got drinks standing at the bar, chatted with friends we ran Into, no problem so far. Offered a four topper table with agreement on sharing with another couple. We enjoy meeting new people so we said sure. Waitress was attentive during the first round of ordering but then things got super awkward. As another couple was seated we realized a dirty rag was left on their side of the table, gross. Then our waitress came back to grab us another round but ignored this new couple. They finally grabbed her and she actually said«I’m not your waitress, she’s over there but I can take your order». Um, what? 2 waitresses for one table? So we then told the couple to ask for silverware since we were only given one set and never got any plates. They were really nice and seemed understanding but said this was their 3rd time here and the wait staff was always terrible. Nice for them though, somehow they were ordered extra drinks(another screw up from the waitress) so she just gave them the extra round for free. Once their food came up, one of the staff literally handed the dishes over us instead of walking around the table… not realizing we weren’t together and that we had already eaten. The atmosphere is so nice, the food and drinks were good but sorely lacking in the staff, wake up Bar Louie, this location is a gold mine, you are about to screw it up… we would love to make this a common happy hour place but if the staff is this bad it won’t be worth it.

Have always been a fan of Bar Louie. Tonight @Polaris was very disappointing. Came in for some ‘after movie’ bite to eat. Sat at the bar. To our left, the bar was covered in dirty dishes & glassware. The bar in front of us was dirty & sticky. When we asked the bartender to wipe it off, he was unbelievably rude! Asked me «Can you see that I’m busy and have my hands full?» Lollll, I almost fell off my chair! Uhhhh… okay then. He finally came from behind the bar & wiped up w/a smelly, dirty rag. GROSS! We ordered our food from another bartender. When we asked what we could substitute for the fries(i.e., fruit or a vegetable?) she screwed up her face and said, «We don’t got any fruit, only broccoli.» I mean, you just can’t pay for this kind of entertainment! Food was fine, timely and warm. Service – terrible. Will not make this a regular stop. Matt the Miller is a thousand times better!

This Bar Louie is much more upscale than the one downtown, which makes sense because it took the place of the very upscale Fisherman’s Wharf. I really like this«classy» version of Bar Louie, and for some reason it felt like the food and drinks were of a higher quality than the experiences I’ve had downtown in the past. I had a wonderful peach martini during happy hour for $ 5.25, and tried a few bites of appetizers from friends including the buffalo chicken flat bread and some tater tots. The flat bread wasn’t anything ground-breaking, but it had a decent flavor and it is a fair amount of food for $ 5 during happy hour. The tater tots are pretty awesome though and I would recommend you try them the next time you find yourself at a Bar Louie. I assume this place gets PACKED for $ 1 burger nights on Tuesdays because I could barely find a parking spot just for a normal happy hour(the parking lot is kind of small). Overall though, I think it was a good addition to the Polaris area and I look forward to the next time someone suggests a work happy hour there!

Bar Louie’s review is between a three and four star. Something about the experience makes me lean closer to the three star so here it is. I came in to Bar Louie with my parents on a Sunday evening on a holiday weekend. We chose to sit in the bar area at one of the small tables. The place we sat at was perfect as we had a direct view of a number of TVs and the large bar. We waited awhile for service so we ended up ordering our first round of drinks from the bar. No big deal yet. A kettle one dirty martini for me, a maker’s mark on the rocks for the dad and a glass of pinot noir(Soul Sister’s) for the mom. All of the drinks were quite good. A server ended up coming over(a bit too late) and we ordered our food. The mom and I split the Chicken Quesadilla and the Roasted Vegetable Flat Bread. The dad got the blackened fish tacos with a cup of the white bean soup. All of us were thrilled with the food. It’s pretty much better quality bar food. We waited awhile to receive plates, napkins, and silverware and the additional drinks took quite too long. The server kept saying it was very busy for a Sunday. I didn’t see that so I assume they were understaffed. I do believe the prices were a little too high for what the items were, especially with the poor service. I would return and probably sit at the actual bar as the bartender seemed to be on her game. Not a bad place at all if service would improve. I love the vibe of the bar as people were cheering on some NFL. Come if you wish. You will enjoy the drinks and food!

I’m a fan of the two other Columbus locations and this one is quickly growing on me. Each one has its own vibe. This one has low ceilings, a wider more open seating area, a bigger bar, and decent sized patio with a classy freestanding outdoor fireplace. The décor is similar to the other locations but the vibe is different. This is more of an after work happy hour gathering spot that being said the low ceilings make sound bounce everywhere so it gets loud happy buzz of chatter quick. The late night happy hour isn’t at this location however they do have artists play music in the evenings. The food and drinks are consistent otherwise. I personally love Tuesday $ 1 burger night. This location is conveniently near my work and quickly is turning into a favorite.

I frequently go to the Bar Louie at Easton and downtown. Thought it would be cool to check out the Polaris location for my birthday because we had plans to go to Star Lanes. I had a rather large party and we got there earlier than I had planned because Star Lanes was so busy. Arrived around 7pm on a Saturday night so I knew we would have a wait — was told wait would be around an hour. Totally fine so we found space at the bar and got some drinks. Two hours later, the hostess asked me if we would be fine with 3 tables that could be pushed together. Two tables were already open and the one in the middle had 4 people that the hostess said«are about leave.» It sounded good to me and we had already been waiting twice as long as we were told. She told us that we could go ahead and sit at the 2 open tables. So as I was trying to get part of my party over, another hostess attempted to seat another party at one of the tables. I got that straightened out but my party was completely divided — 1⁄3 at one table, 1⁄3 at the other table, and 1⁄3 at the bar. The party in the middle were cashed out but continued to sit there and would not leave. Other larger tables began to open up and other parties were seated first — while my party continued to be separated the entire night. The manager came over once we were about to leave and basically did nothing other than say«we can’t control how long people stay.» I understand the staff has no control over how long a party stays but they do have control over telling me the party is «about to leave» when clearly they were not AND they have control over seating other large parties at tables that would have accommodated my party even though we were sitting, divided the entire night. Very unhappy with this location and being lied to basically all night. I’ll stick with Easton and downtown.

Been here twice. Lunch on a Friday, dinner on a Saturday. Both times our meals were excellent and portions plenty. Didn’t need appetizers. If you think something sounds too spicy and you are sensitive, avoid it or ask for modifications. Hubby loved the spice, I tried his and found it too spicy. But I’m not a fan of hot spicy. I found their prices to be reasonable. We have spent just as much money at a local bar with food. Oh! And they will sample things. We got to taste the white bean chili-excellent(too zippy for me but great flavor) Chicken pot pie soup found the chicken too chewy. Servers are friendly and attentive without smothering. The first time our server told us when to come to get best drink prices. Alcoholic beverages were well crafted. A Manhattan with Makers? Get out. Both times was seat yourself. We kind of wandered around to find a spot. Plenty of seating both times. They have two lounge areas if you want to sit on a couches and hang with friends, although it didn’t look like managing a meal there would be wise. We will definitely be back.

Do not go here. Absolutely horrible service every single time, I don’t know why I go back, honestly. It is a complete waste of my time. Disappointment is almost expected when I walk in the door. Takes the servers 15 minutes to come to our table for the FIRST encounter. After that, at least 10 minutes to bring drinks, another 10 minutes later and our order is taken, and then what seems like an eternity later, our food finally arrives. Orders are usually mixed up or not even correct. I go on Tuesday evenings for dollar burgers, and it seems like there is a different rule or requisite every single time in order to get $ 1 burgers. An absolute and complete embarrassment of a restaurant. If I could leave 0 stars, I would. Go somewhere else instead.

Looked forward to trying Bar Louie. I was really disappointed. I watched a couple walk out, didnt know why. Then after 20 min of just being given water and no one coming to our table and servers walking past our table and seeing others get food and drinks we were ready to walk out! Then when we decied to give 2 more min, oh there was Hardly anyone in the place. Finally here comes our server. she was one of the ones who walked past our table several times. Food came out fast and was pretty good. They obviously need to sit customers and not seat yourself. That way there is someone responsible for getting service in a timely manner!

I met a friend for lunch last week and thought we’d check out the new location since we liked the one downtown. We had great service and the food was really, really good. She had the Ginger Shrimp Lettuce Wraps and enjoyed them very much after figuring out how to eat them. It’s a build-your-own deal, and the lettuce didn’t really wrap well. She got a nice serving of the filling in a bowl with several large pieces of really fresh romaine. She didn’t even need the two sides of sweet thai chili and dijon mustard sauces because the filling had great flavor with a little kick to it. My Blackened Salmon Sliders were amazing. There were 3, with nice portions of salmon on good buns(they could have been a little softer, but I shouldn’t complain). The pesto mayo was excellent. I got tots instead of fries. I love their tots. The manager stopped by the table to check in and we told him everything was great. Note to pescetarians: order the salmon sliders without the bacon.

Love how big the bar is at this location. The kitchen is open late, so its always my go to spot for after work. Bartenders are good, but servers are so so. Finally a place to go at Polaris that is open past 10!!! Just what we need :)

A couple of buddies and I went to check out the newest spot in Polaris. It’s nice inside and our bartender was cool, but everything else was pretty bad. The price of a corona was $ 5.35! Let me say that again. $ 5.35!!! What is this Beverly Hills?! Not gonna last long charging crazy prices for beer. Rude Dog has better food, cheaper drinks and cuter chicks. For lunch I got the Voodoo chicken sandwich. It wasn’t horrible, but it was a freaking mess! My bun was soggy and broke apart. Had to eat the rest by fork and that was an $ 11 sandwich! We didn’t see any lunch specials. My buddy got the Tortilla soup and only are half. He said it was pretty bad. If you wanna spend above average for drinks and food go here. If you wanna spend less go anywhere else on Polaris.

I’ve been here about 5 times since it opened & I’ve had all good experiences. When I set my mind on going to a place such as Bar Louie, I am in a laid back state of mind expecting average service, mediocre food & drinks. Everytime I’ve been, the waitresses never fail to check up on us and serve our food promptly. The food is decent and the drinks are strong & delicious. I always get the mango margarita. I like the vibe of the place & the crowd. So go here if you are in the mood to just chill, relax and vibe. The only downfall is the price. It is a bit pricey.

I have been to Bar Louie at Easton and Short North and hated it. I cautiously accepted an invitation to the Polaris location — and was pleasantly surprised. It was early, granted. 4pm on Wednesday. There was a private party in open wall section buy we sat outdoors til sprinkling rain drove us in. Our service was spot-on from a pretty and pleasant young woman(blonde spiral hair).Food came out very quickly — we had an order of starter meatballs and a hummus plate. Good food and nicely presented. Our server remained attentive, atmosphere was great. Btw– wine at 4.25 a glass. How refreshing from a Cameron Mitchell wine — price rape.

I lead a girls night out for our neighborhood, so last night, we thought that we’d try the new Bar Louie on Polaris Parkway. A week ago, I made a reservation for 12 at 7p with the manager. We arrived at 645p and asked for our reservation and they had written down a party of 6 at 6p. Annoying, but I guess that we had to make it work. It ended up that we had 13 people and we squeezed around a table for 6. They had the garage doors open, but we were right by the front door, so it was HOT. After 20 minutes of sitting, no one had been by to help us.. .. we tried several times to flag down servers and we were ignored. I went up to the hostess stand and she said she’d help me find someone, but then ignored me, so I found a waitress that eventually served us. It took 15 minutes for half of the table to get water, another 20 minutes for the other side of the table to get water and we had to ask repeatedly for refills. No lie, it took one hour and 20 minutes for us all to get our first round of drinks. One woman ordered a glass of wine from the menu and after 30 minutes, the waitress came back and said that they didn’t have that wine. We had drinks spilled on us and our table was never cleared. Some came planning on eating, but didn’t order because they didn’t know when they might get their food. I realize that they’ve only been open for a few weeks, but if you can’t get drinks to a table, water or other, then this place won’t be open for long. I know 13 of us that won’t be returning.

Ok when they first open they seemed to have their act together however they have went downhill pretty fast. Might be growing pains… inexperienced bartenders, starting reserving spots for happy hour in bar area which is really in heard of. Waitress’s inexperienced and unorganized. Why on earth open a new spot and not over staff until a good rhythm of consistency emerges? Won’t be back until they get through these hurdles.

If you’re like me and you find happiness in a generous happy hour, strong drinks, and friendly service, then Bar Louie at Polaris is for you. Tuesdays feature a sizable, flame-broiled $ 1 burger from 5-close. Thursdays, a live jazz band. Between the burgers, the drinks, the prices, and the immaculate space, Bar Louie is an excellent addition to Polaris that’s certainly worth your visit.
