Applebee’s

We came in for soup and salad because their chicken tortilla soup is the BEST anywhere hands down. Every time I come to Columbus I stop in to get their delish soup to go. Although I dined in this time and I agree kitchen is REALLY slow but soup is good, so I’ll continue to come here.
Make sure you have plenty of time before coming here.

This is the last time ill come here… DONT GO you better off going to wendys next door… Stupid waiters slow and they dont care about ur table… I think they are not gonna stay there for long if they keep up the bad service

Went here for lunch on a Thursday around 12:30. It wasn’t particularly busy but the hostess still spun in circles counting table deciding where to put us for way too long.
The food was ok. It is Applebees, expectations shouldn’t be high going in. The real problem was the cleanliness. My fork was dirty but more than that was the stickiness. Everything was sticky. The table was terrible. Our server said it was the varnish assuring us she had recently cleaned it. If it is the varnish someone needs to do something about that. Then I went to the restroom and the same thing! The floor was so sticky.
Varnish or not eating on a sticky table is quite unpleasant and really makes the entire experience sour.

Well there are times when you’re in a hurry between church services and since we couldn’t get in another restaurant, we chose this one. Needless to say, the only thing that was bad was this pungent smell coming from the salmon. It smelled like a dirty diaper. It was horrible and then I lost my appetite. I didn’t eat anything else but the meatballs that I had. The server was nice and friendly. I thought that the manager would’ve apologized for making the error and trying to fix the situation. Other than that, not impressed but I’ll give it a pretty good review for today

Waiting for our food for over a half hour, adult group of 6, never got our salads or an alcoholic drink for one of us. There’s a good handful people in uniform hanging out in groups of 2 – 3 around. Our waters are still empty, and no one seems to want to be working on a Saturday night. And it was Sweetest Day

Worst service my family has ever received. The manager, Shawn actually took over 20 minutes to even acknowledge and talk with us and STILL did not resolve the problem. After my daughter food being wrong 3 times she was finally able to eat and the rest of us were ready for dessert while she had just gotten her correct food. That was the beginning of our terrible experience. Needless to say we will not return to this location. Shawn the manager was as bad as the server, Marquisa H.

I’ve been to this location many times. And I’ll say that the food is always pretty good, there is always the same problem… getting a table.
Most recent visit was a Saturday evening. We arrived at 5:45pm and there was just 2 of us. We walk in and see the TINY waiting area is over flowed with people waiting. We give them our name and she say it’s a 10 minute wait. As we are waiting I counted 13 empty tables, and 70% of the bar open. There is no excuse to have that many tables open and have people waiting 10+ minutes to sit down.
The wedge salad is awesome.

No silverware until food came in and we asked. Wrong food at our table. No clean glasses they had to clean them for us. The BEST service ever!!!

A waitress got into a fight with customers just a few tables away from us. The food was cold and bland and they got my order wrong. The waiter did not care about anything and was obviously ready to go home.

I would give a 5 solid stars. This is very covenience for customers like me because I just had shopping at Eatson. I love the cheap hamberger at every Monday. The pasta was a little bit expensive. The waiter was nice and he often ask us the taste and whether we need more help. There was a big TV in the bar counter which played NBA video when I was there. I like NBA a lot.
There are not too much restaorant near the Bus station at Eatson. So just had lunch at here!

Several visits have proven that the slow service and underwhelming food are not a fluke. Unfortunately this used to be a convenient location where almost everyone in a group could find a dish. Now I simply do not wish to waste my time.

The service was very poor and extremely slow! It took us over 1.5 hours from the time we sat down to the time we got our messed up bill squared away. We had to request help from other waitstaff at LEAST 4 times as it appeared that our waitress forgot about us. The food was good, so at least we enjoyed that much of it. We would not dine at this Applebees again. Good food + bad service = not worth it.

Applebee’s isn’t on the top of my list for places to go. I’d gone here twice just because I had a gift card. Neither time was I impressed… at ALL.
The first time I was there, our waitress was slow and didn’t have much personality… neither did she seem like she wanted to be there. There was a table of drunks behind us acting up and being loud.
The second time I came here… there was almost a fight between two patrons. Sheesh… what next??!
This place is ghetto and I won’t be back. The next time I have an Applebee’s gift card… I’ll be sure to go to the Polaris location.

I haven’t been to an Applebee’s in a long time and now I remember why. Service started out great, then fizzled. Food? I LOVED when we got our entrees BEFORE the appetizer. Please note the sarcasm. At the time of this writing, it’s been 10 minutes since we’ve seen our server and we’d like to leave. Check has been ready to pick up for that entire time.
Oh, and that appetizer? No offer to comp it, give us a box to take with us (since it is VERY apparent we didn’t even touch it), NOTHING.
Save your time. Go to Red Robin’s, Logan’s, or any other restaurant around here.

Late night grub and that’s the only place that opened at the time. Came in and greeted by the police man because the hostess no where to be seen. Waited an hr for food and it come out cold. Service sucks even the cop was helping clearing out the table. It was a little busy but the way they work didn’t seem they care fast enough catering to customers. If I could, I would rather tipped the cop.

Went tonight for dinner, understaffed bartender in the weeds. Food came out, plate coated in grease. Got Napa chicken dinner, potatoes under cooked. To bad, had great service on Saturday.

We had not been to an Applebee’s in years, but stopped in for lunch to use a gift card. It would have been better to toss the gift card and eat somewhere else.
I was asked if I wanted my salad before my entrée and still got it several minutes after. My entrée was the napa chicken and portobello mushroom meal. It was ok, but there weren’t any portobello mushrooms.
My boys both got the kids’ cheese pizzas. The 6 year old refused to even taste his because of how it looked. If a 6 year old doesn’t think pizza looks appetizing, then there are serious issues. The older one clearly forced himself to eat ¼ of the pizza and then asked when we would be eating dinner.
My husband got boneless wings and fries. Both were cold.
We will never be back and will donate any future gift cards we may receive.

Spoilers: Bottom line, if you’re looking for a solid restaurant experience where everyone in your group can find something to eat, this location is a good bet.
OK so I should clarify this review before going further. I’ve had enough bad experiences with what passes for food at Applebees at a chain, that I will admit I’m a little jaded.
That being said, this was one of the best experiences I’ve had at an Applebees.
Service: Upon arriving, we were promptly seated by a friendly and courteous hostess, and our waitress had our drink order in extremely quickly. Our waitress was also extremely attentive, which was also a huge bonus. Service = 5 stars
Food: Applebees, why do you do this to the American consumer, do you just think they don’t know better? Overall, you might be right. Our appetizer was great… that being said, our main entrees… left much to be desired. Dry rice, cold shrimp, cold fries… well you get the idea. Taste was bland too, which was surprising since our appetizer was so good… but hey, it’s hard to mess up nachos. So food, solid Meh. 2.5 stars.
In closing a great experience with service can really help a restaurant, but you go for the food, and if the food isn’t up to par, your trip is likely to be marred. As my wife put it when we left, «Well the service was awesome, and I can honestly say that was the least gross experience I’ve had at an Applebees.» Sometimes she says it best.

Well this is a review for the curb side service at this particular location. I called in my order, arrived and sat and waited and waited to the point of where I had to go in find a server and pick up my own food and pay. So much for curb side! This was 4:30 PM way before the dinner rush started and also during the week. Just be aware that you may be parking in curbside… but you may also be going into the restaurant to get your own food.

I’m not normally a fan of chain restaurants, but my co-​workers and I were on work travel and this was the closest and easiest option for dinner. I was extremely impressed with the service! To be honest, I feel that service is a large part of my dining experience and that is why I’m giving this Applebees a 3.5 stars. The food was good but probably not much different from any other Applebees. The strawberry mango margarita was delicious and so where the mini wonton tacos. My co-​workers and I enjoyed the food and we had good time.
