I LOVETHISPLACE!!! So my son tells me last minute he needs a suit to rent for Homecoming(I had 4 days to put something together **Thanks Isaiah). I called a location close to my house, but they wanted to charge me $ 190 for just a suit to rent because it was last minute. So I did a Google search and American Commodore popped up so I gave em call. A gentleman answered the phone and told me it would be no problem to get my son a suit by Saturday AND no extra fee because of the short notice… SCORE!!! We were at American Commodore with 30 minutes of the phone call. We were immediately greeted by the young lady working there AND we were the only people in the store! As soon as my son walked in, he fell in love with the Michael Kors suit the had on display. He said he wanted to customize the look though… all black with just a white hanky. No problem !! And still no extra charge. She even scanned some coupon so I got it even cheaper than what the other place was going to charge me to rent a suit. The fitting process was quick & easy. I will say when we went to pick up the tux we had to wait about 20min for his turn to use the dressing room, but who cares? It was worth it. I can’t thank you guys enough… you saved me a lot of money and you were very professional and answered all my questions(and believe me, I had ALOT). You’ve earned my business and we will be back.

Last June we didn’t have the greatest experience here for our friend’s wedding but we decided to give it a go for our own since there are locations where all our groomsmen and dad’s reside. We got a great deal on Black Friday that we couldn’t pass by and they even let us get our tuxes in a few days early so we would have enough time to get the new menswear in case there was anything wrong(That’s my only thumbs up). Well, long and behold only 2⁄9 tuxes fit! SLAMDUNK, not. Some were 4 – 5 inches too short and others 4 – 5 inches too long. I don’t even know where they got the measurements. My husbands shirt, the most important one, was way too big and the employees tried to tell him just to tighten his tie. Pretty sure you’re still supposed to see the tie. Good thing he spoke up. The boys got sized at 2 locations & there were issues with both. To top it off, the dads were supposed to be in a shade darker(gray) than the groomsmen but only my dad’s tux was correct. We didn’t even notice my father in law’s was wrong till the day of when he was dressed & standing next to everyone and by that time it was too late. He looked exactly like the groomsmen and NOT what we wanted at all. They even put his sizes under my 10 year old cousins name(which we then had to create a second name for my cousin because they couldn’t change it at a different location). To top it off, when we were at the Polaris store I also asked an employee to show me the purple tie my dad chose for our ring bearer and the response I got when he looked it up was«Heather.» Um… sorry sir I don’t know which color is «Heather.» To be safe I asked is that a gray or purple and he responded with gray. I reiterated that it was supposed to be purple and he had to go ask a different employee who told him to look on the sample vests. Not impressed and we told our friends not to go here.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. We had a terrible experience last week and because of it have chosen to take our business elsewhere. We went in with the understanding that it’s prom season so things are going to be a bit busy. My fiancé and I wanted to get our wedding set up and get menswear for himself and all the groomsmen. It took us 20 minutes before anyone even spoke to us. That person wasn’t even qualified to set up a wedding. We finally spoke with the other person who was, and he was possibly the most unprofessional person I’ve ever encountered and certainly not what I would expect at a formalwear place. He berated his other employee and rolled his eyes several times at him while we were trying to speak with him. They were not busy yet he kept stopping to take other customers before us. He says to us «let me release these orders and then you’ll have my undivided attention». He proceeds to disappear 10 minutes then come back and take two more prom customers as if we did not exist. We walked out to him saying«Oh I’m almost done.» What lousy service and unprofessional employees. If this is how they treat customers, I cannot imagine how they treat an order as important as our wedding attire.
