Ribs are always awesome but service is always mediocre at best. Unless you want your salads and appetizers coming out at the same time as your entrée, don’t give your full order at the same time. They have a problem spacing them out. Also if you don’t want to feel like you are sitting under an interrogation light make sure you tell them not to sit you at one of the many tables with a spotlight hanging in your face. But as I said, ribs are awesome.

Perfect place to stop for a bite on the way through. Our server, Vanand, was super awesome and very friendly. Food was perfect, and ambience was also perfect. We shared the 6″ burger and we’re both full. A definite must-try for those who are looking for a unique and awesome place to eat. :-)

Very strong drinks. The chicken tenders were fine. Chicken alfredo with bacon was cooked poorly. Manager was very willing to replace it and wanted to show the kitchen. Service was sincerely wierd. The waiter seemed to be confused and food came out in the wrong order. Manager was nice. May have just been an off night. But the waiter actively avoided some customers while tending to a few regulars constantly.

Nice find in Columbus, IN. Ribs were good, southwest chicken was fabulous. Lots of tables, so it’s good for groups. Prices might be a bit higher than they should be, but we were very pleased. (I would recommend that the staff take a little more care when moving tables and chairs around. It’s awfully noisy and isn’t easy to listen to.)

I am a part time San Francisco resident — well known city for excellent food. With that in mind, I have to say this restaurant would win big stars there. For Columbus, there should be more than 5 stars as there isn’t any other excellent restaurant in town. Maybe the Midwestern concept of good food is very different from California — but a good steak should be recognized anywhere.(In fact, west coast meat is no where the taste and tenderness of that found here in Indiana). Usually I go here with 2 – 5 others, all of whom order a steak of some type(why would you go to a steak house for fish or mac’n’cheese???). Service is ALWAYS excellent and friendly. They accommodate handicaps nicely. The steaks almost always come exactly as ordered — and if not, they will immediately bring out another as you ordered it, with no grief or hassle. When someone writes a review and complains that the meat was not as ordered — it is their own fault for not sending it back(in ANY restaurant — you are paying and should get what you wanted). This restaurant is also the most generous in recognizing Veterans — and for that alone I would add another star.

I’m in town visiting from TX and I have to say the food was surprisingly delicious! I ordered the chicken bacon alfredo(hold the chicken) and it was great. The perfect amount of sauce and the Canadian bacon was the other extra kick the pasta needed. My side was the broccoli and the garlic butter drizzled on the garlic was just right. I highly recommend ordering the mango margarita. You could taste the tequila, but it wasn’t too strong, and the sugar on the rim was a welcomed touch.

I am in town on business for a couple of weeks and read the reviews in Unilocal so I decided to check it out. Bartender Natasha was very friendly and knowledgable about the food and drinks. I tried the Italian Chicken Nachos to start on her recommendation. The chips are homemade, the chicken, Alfredo sauce, Mozzarella cheese, black olives and banana peppers made for an incredible appetizer. I’ve been back 4 times. The hand cut filet was incredible, the Monterey chicken and Salmon were also equally good. Highly recommend and when I come back to town I will be stopping back in.

Ok the first two times we were here with friends I was not impressed with the food at all. The service has always been great. This was our third visit with friends. Food was actually really good. I got a tuna steak, green beans and applesauce. Husband got a filet, baked potato and ceaser salad. Tuna was cooked the way I like. Green beans were good despite haveing onions in them, but they were easy to eat around. Applesauce was well applesauce. The fillet was very tender and very good. Salad and baked potato is hard to mess up so they were good as well. Dessert was apple pie I enjoyed very much and chocolate cake he enjoyed. Owner is very nice and makes table visits and chats with guest. When in Columbus check Amazing Joe’s out.

Decided to finally write a review. We have been here numerous times. Love the chicken parmesan. Hubby loves the chicken fried chicken. Best fried pickles in town. Love all i have tried. One of my favorite places. Always had great service. Definitely recommend.

After having eaten here probably 100 times since they opened, I think it’s long overdue to give credit when deserved. As the name says Joe’s is AMAZING… Coldest beer I’ve ever had(and I’ve had a lot), consistently great food preparation, and quite possibly the BEST service I’ve ever experienced(from the table staff, the bartender, management, and even the hostess) My family and I travel a little over 30 minutes, passing several franchise restaurants at least 3 times a month to Columbus for the experience and we’ve NEVER been disappointed. Recommendations include the Italian nachos, Pork Chops, Killer Ribs, and any and every steak option. You won’t be disappointed, trust me.

Well… I was here because my parents love it. Selects the Chicken Mac and Cheese. Probably should have gone with a steak or burger. I absolutely love Mac and Cheese, with the popularity of the dish in so many menus if I go to a new spot and they offer a variety of it I’ll give it a shot. Today was an abysmal failure of the dish. It arrived with the rest of the meals for the table and was warm but not hot. The cheese sauce used was not homemade and was VERY high in sodium. To add to the failure, the chicken breast was cooked but had absolutely no seasoning at all, so the only taste was the salty cheese. This dish could be 1000 times better with a little love and some simple changes to how it’s made. The service was great because our waitress knew my parents… that is the only reason I gave it two stars. If I come back… it will only be because my parents decide to eat here when I am in town to visit again.

Amazing Joe’s is one of our go-to favorite restaurants in town. My husband loves the steaks, and I have tried many other items on their menu and have yet to be disappointed. They have excellent fried pickles, and their boneless wings are some of the best I’ve had. The service is always great, and the managers are always willing to go above and beyond if something comes out sub par.

Went there for the first time today. The service was good. The restaurant is clean and modern. The bar looks cool. The food selection was diverse and they free bread that you get when you sit down was a nice touch. I’ll certainly return.

We only ate here once when we lived in the area, but it was really good! We had good service, and our drinks, apps and entrees were all quite tasty. The manager made a point to come around, and he was very friendly and much more personable than most managers we encountered when living in Indiana(we’re from TN and found a lot of folks in the service industry to be rude and not focused on customers).

So, the best of it: the service really, really tries. And for family style, casual dining, they mostly come thru. The restaurant space is… well…odd. It’s strangely broken up, yet over-sized and awkward. It feels a little too«bar and grill» for family brunch and yet clientele is entirely too«booster seat» for anything but a family meal. The menu is also puzzling, though there’s a *lot* on it… It’s a mishmash of food styles: they’re going for Southern fare, sometimes Italian, sometimes NYC Italian(yeah, it’s different), BBQ, Cajun, classic steakhouse, or casual American. And that’s a clue that all is not well… I mean, for such a crazy menu, it’s all fairly blah and one-note fried blah. The only nice things that I have to say about any of the five separate meals I’ve eaten here are that the bread was fine and that the food I was(very pleasantly) served was hot. And that gets two stars. The leftover bread was tastier than any of the well-more-than-a-portion-leftovers anything I ordered left behind. Seasoning, of any kind, on anything, would yield a third star… Portions are large(but should be given average price points), more than most people are going to eat in one meal. That means you should expect to feel like you’ve overpaid if you don’t like leftovers or order anything that won’t reheat well, like most of the fried and/or any of the fish options.
