Upper Crust Pizzeria & Deli

Great Pizza place. Recently ordered their Italian white pizza and it was delicious. We ordered over the phone and delivery arrived 35 min later. The driver was courteous. Will use again.

Tried philly cheese steak. Unfortunately it was not worth it. all dry and taste less with big chunks of hard chicken in it. Not sure about other items on the menu tne good thing is that they carry partial halal menu. there use to be zumzum pizzeria in Ellicott city and their food was hands down best unfortunately they closed out last year.

Pretty good pizza! First is good not too thick and doughy. They also use real broccoli which is awesome. Also decent priced for XL pizzas! I wish the sauce was a little more tangy.

Perfect pizza for people who like bread with tomato sauce on it. Have never seen a pizza so stingy on the toppings.

This is my favorite pizza place in town! For the last week I’ve had a craving for their pizza, but decided to take the opportunity to explore a few more pizza places around town that I have yet to try. Nothing was more satisfying than finally giving in and getting Upper Crust. This pizza is delicious hot, and does well for leftovers too. I still remember the heard shaped pizza that my family got on Valentines Day. It absolutely made my day!

Delicious pizza! We ordered from here while passing through for a night and staying at a local hotel. We ordered the XL pizza which was only $ 10.99 if you order pickup! We also got a grilled chicken salad that was great. The chicken was tender and tasty and there were lots of crisp veggies added. It was ready when expected and still hot by the time we got it back to our room!

The chicken pesto pizza was out of this world.
This has to be the best pizza I’ve had in HoCo in the past 15 years. Too bad it’s far from home but we’ll make the drive.

After trusting in my fellow Unilocalers of Columbia, I ordered two large pizzas with two toppings based on several raves reviews about Upper Crust. I was not disappointed. The pies were delivered hot and not lacking on the cheese department. My kids enjoyed every bite — so glad I ordered two! Upper Crust is my new go-​to for pizza delivery.

Have been to this place several times. I have only tried the chicken gyro and its decent.

Best Calzone in Maryland
Maryland is usually void of Calzones, but, here I found a good one. Also, for those who eat Kosher/​Halal– all their meat is consumable by people of different religions.
They also have a version of the Canadian Poutine that is worth the try, as far is trying goes.
The place isn’t somewhere you sit down and eat per say, but its a great place with a nice husband and wife who run the place. And– if you’re partial to Calzones: This is the only place to go.

This is my go-​to pizza place for home. There aren’t a lot of places in Marlyand to get a great gourmet pizza… and this isn’t one of them, But, when you need a large pizza to «hit the spot» for a pizza craving, Upper Crust will more than do.
Upper Crust is really focused on the idea of to-​go and delivery pizza (very limited seating, and no real ambience in the shop itself). The toppings list is respectable, but nothing crazy on it. This is a very standard crust pizza, with a slightly acidic sauce and a good cheese blend. They get them ready really fast, and the price is reasonable.
I’ve had a few pizzas here, and they are very consistent in there quality. And yes, I’ll keep going back here — not just out of lack of alternatives — because they do what they set out to do really well: Create to go pizza’s at an affordable price that satisfy a pizza craving.
Warning for any Way-​laid boston folks: This upper crust has nothing to do with Upper Crust from the Hub (and Florida) — so don’t expect gourmet pies, outstanding taxes, unpaid Brazilians, corporate espionage and lawsuits here — just a pretty good pizza from some local guys.

This place deserves more stars. I tried lamb gyro, steak gyro, meatball pasta, chicken alfredo pasta, and the pizza! Never disappointed with them.

This place has decent food and pretty fast delivery in Columbia. The large extra cheese pizza I ordered from there was decent. Ate the whole pizza with the 2 liter coke I got from there in 1 sitting. Also got their cheese steak sub and that wasn’t bad. Decent ratio of meats/​toppings/​bread and the bread held everything together.
Overall the place is decent.

Have only had delivery from this place several times & never had any problems. I’ve ordered pizza mostly and the cheeseburger sub once. The sub was pretty standard, 8″ or 12″. The pizza is thin crust and I’ve always liked it, never had any bad experiences.

Tried a small pie here with your standard toppings: pepperoni, sausage, onions. I was not impressed to be honest. The taste, quality, and texture was very reminiscent of Jerry’s Subs and Pizza’s pizza on a bad day — kind of cheapish, NY style. The toppings weren’t bad but the cheese, crust, and sauce were totally bland and lifeless, which is a nono considering that those are the foundation to any good pizza. Pass.

Highly rated Unilocal reviews usually lead us to good places but this is an exception, another being a barber shop near Fort Meade that posted good reviews about themselves, and another being Honey Pig. It may not be the case here but it looks like it could be. I give them two stars because the poor quality ingredients didn’t make us sick. Once in this place is enough.

I looked on Unilocal to find a place that sells Gyro! (I love Gyros and Philly cheese steaks)
So I came to check this places out base on other Unilocaler recommendations! As well as I was looking for a new place to write a Unilocal review about!
Upon ordering for dine-​in they estimated me of 10 – 15 min wait, which was ready after 15 min!
So my order was Lamb Gyro on pita w/​french fries and a can of 12 fl oz soda for $ 9.53
The french fries was really really good hot and fresh! The gyro was also good; came on a pita bread which i wished it was warmer and feta cheese on it was really tasty the sauce on the gyro i assume Tzwiaki was good but not with cucumber in it though… I was hoping there was more gyro meat there the amount of gyro was very little maybe I ask for extra meat next time in order to enjoy my food more while im biting on it! The interior and locations didn’t impress me so much thats why I’m just giving them a three stars rating!

The good recent reviews made me want to check this place out. I ordered a pizza with bacon and mushrooms, and the most surprising thing to me was how it was not greasy at all. This was a big plus to me because in addition to being not greasy, the pizza tasted very good. There was no shortage of toppings and a good ratio of dough/​cheese/​sauce. I do not consider this pizza NY style though. It was not chewy or as thin as I’d expect from a NY slice. I’d probably give the pizza ⁴⁄₅ stars, but b/​c my expectation was a NY style pizza, ³⁄₅ might be more appropriate (not bad by any means).
In any case, I will definitely order from here again and recommend others giving this place a try.

Was looking for a quick bite to eat and decided to swing in here. This is most definitely a delivery/​carry-​out place; even though they have seating it’s rather cluttered and not well-​kept for dining in. My guess is they mostly cater to game day deliveries rather than in-​house patrons.
Overall, the food was good and I’ll definitely eat it again. They primarily focus on pizzaria fare, like Three Brothers, as well as wings. I chose the Bacon Cheeseburger pizza which was interesting (cheese sauce instead of tomato sauce) and I liked it. I think the only problem I had was it was pricier as you don’t have the coupons you can get at your chain places.
I’m giving them an A-​OK to start and we’ll see if I begin to use them more often.
