Sweet tiny café with antique furniture. We had simple and delicious breakfast with eggs, great hushbrowm and amazing biscuits for — $ 6 (!!!)

Had the cheeseburger and fries. Big homemade burger and fresh cut fries. Definitely deserving of 5 stars!

Great cheeseburger. I mean better than the snake. Omelette was very good lots of sausage. Hash browns were perfect, crispy just like I ordered them. French fries were homemade. Very rustic and casual. Enjoy.

Fabulous service, wonderful location. Everything tasted home cooked. The ambiance is great an you will not be disappointed. Stayed open to serve my family after scheduled time and really delivered. Great folks!

Great breakfast/​lunch spot across the street from the preserved part of Columbia. The bacon was great, the hash browns were great — the owner browned the hash browns just like we asked, which is rare since it takes a while — everything was great. There were three in our party and we all left happy. Would definitely go back.

Had the pleasure of eating here this Mothers Day. My mom has been raving abt this place.
It’s basically an old house made into a quaint restaurant. There is seating outside. In front and along side the perimeter of the building.
I was surprised as we went in jst how small it was. But we did get a suitable place to sit.
The first thing I noticed as we came in besides how small it was. Was a squealing kid seating jst inside the door. Can’t really blame the kid. He’s jst a kid.
But it did get kinda old as we were there. I also think it wore on the nerves our server. Who happened as I found out. To be the owner.
At first I found her to be kinda indifferent and I thought it would be an issue as the experience went on. But the service was good. Especially since she was the only one waiting tables. The only I saw anyway.
So we all ordered. 5 of us.
The menu seems a little short on selections.
The wife asked. «What comes with the french toast»? The reply was kinda blunt.
Uh french toast. Like duh lady. Like my wife was supposed to know that. I mean who serves just french toast? Most places at least serve bacon or sausage with it. Not here baby. Jst french toast. So my wife settles for just french toast.
My mom and my sisters boyfriend ordered the crêpe special. My sister ordered some kinda omelet. I ordered linguisa and eggs with their country spuds.
I didn’t think they took too long. Some in our party thought it was kinda slow.
When the food finally arrived my moms crêpe special came with bacon. When she ordered it with sausage. That’s was promptly corrected. My wife’s order for some reason took a while. Gee french toast that comes with no protein. Hmmmm.
And it’s taking this long. Well it shows up. But no side order of bacon that my wife ordered to go with the french toast. That was promptly taken care of.
So were all finally eating as the kid is still screaming and squealing. But whatever.
The food I must say made up for everything I found to be questionable.
My order in particular was great. I also had some of my wife’s french toast. Which was very good. I also can’t forget to mention the coffee. That itself was good.
After we finished we all got up and I when to pay the bill. I found an opportunity to talk to our server. That’s when I found out she was the new owner. She has been running the place for abt 3 months now.
I found her to a very pleasant lady. She told me of her plans and hopes for the restaurant.
I found myself forgiving the things I was critical of. This is not an easy business to be in.
So all in all. I would recommend this place to anyone. Jst remember it is small. So the seating can be an issue. But the food is great and the owners are very nice people.
