My husband and I stopped there just for a snack and had the brie appetizer. It was awesome! We will definitely be going back.

WELOVETHISPLACE! It’s got a very cool vibe. The staff was friendly and attentive. The selection of craft beers is awesome. Chicken fingers are definitely the best we have ever had… Clearly, made in house just like the fries. Delish. The Cottage Pie was good and will order again minus the cheese. The only thing that could be better is if they were closer to Florence… How about another location???

Love the Pub. Great atmosphere, great drink selection, great fish and chips. Their menu is a welcome change of pace from the rest of Harbison and the Columbia area.

They have a wide selection of beers. The food is great. My wife loves bluegrass so we came here tonight for the bluegrass.(We come other time to but living by the VA is a little far) It is worth coming here just for the food. The wait staff are awesome

Walk in and get seated right away. Waited 10+ minutes to be waited on as several servers walk by without a word. Finally get a waitress and we have to hear her complain about how tired she is. Finally order a beer«Stella» which they were out of… wtf. This makes the 3rd time in a row I have been here and had crappy service. I could understand if it is busy but when the place was only half occupied there is no excuse. Good luck getting anymore of my business.

My wife and I had dinner here on Christmas day after driving all day. What a fantastic surprise! The food was excellent. While there were a limited selection of entrees, all of the appetizers and desserts were available. We started with the sausage rolls(very good), then I had the small fish and chips(excellent) and my wife had the beef and cheddar pasty(awesome), and we finished up with the apple crisp(very tasty, though it could have used a little more crisp). The atmosphere was a little hectic, with a sports bar vibe, but the service was solid.

Being British I am very biased on reviews of British pubs here in the USA. First off a positive. I think the atmosphere was excellent — really felt like a British pub on a Saturday night. There was a band playing which were good. Their range of beers on draft was not that great but I believe its actually quite hard to get beers imported or rather its quite costly. I would have loved to have seen London Pride on the draft menu. I actually had a pint of Newcastle brown ale but you can get that stuff everywhere. Food wise I opted for the all day breakfast. Firstly not sure what planet the person was on that designed the menu but I have never had a side salad with a British breakfast !! Other than that it looked good. The pork sausage was odd. It was like the mixture had been made in a food processor rather than minced. I suspect it is the same mixture to make the scotch eggs — would have like it not so purified. There was thinly sliced tomato !! on the plate — normally it would be a half of a tomato fried or a whole tinned tomato. The mushrooms were nice but again thinly sliced when its normal in England to have a few whole button mushrooms. Fried bread was good. Also would have been nice to have a plate of bread and butter to mop up the liquid from the beans and egg. Plus maybe a slice of black pudding. To be honest I would like to go again and try something else perhaps the steak and ale pie.

Pretty good food. Had their hot tea for a sore throat and it was perfect. The owner and friends were watching wall to wall European Championship soccer — my favorite sport — so I felt right at home.

We came here for Trivia Night which is on Wednesdays at 9PM. Surprisingly, the place was crowded and we were lucky enough to all squeeze in a booth 10 minutes before it started. The service was slow to begin with as our server took a while to even come over to our table so made sure we had our orders ready. I started off with the mussels as an appetizer which came with a few small loaves of bread. The mussels were in a creamy sauce with bacon which was different than the standard butter garlic sauce. I love bacon so that was a nice touch. For my entrée, I went with the English Red Eye Burger which is a half pound sirloin burger that comes with a fried egg and hot sauce as well as chips(fries) on the side. Our appetizers came out pretty quick but boy we had to wait a good 45 minutes or so for actual entrees to come out. During this whole process, our server also only came by 1 to check on us and most of us needed drink refills for a while. When our food finally came, I took a bite out of my burger and really liked it. It was quite large since it was half-pound and came with decent thick-cut fries for about $ 10. The trivia that was going on in the background that we participated in wasn’t that loud as well and went on for about an 1.5 hours with 5 rounds of 5 questions each and a bonus round with 10 questions. Sadly, we didn’t win trivia but got like top 5 out of 15 or so teams so we did decent. The food was solid but the service was lacking all night hence the 3 star review instead of 4 stars. Not a bad spot for trivia and would be willing to come here again!

Great restaurant. We had the Scotch egg as an appetizer. Great flavor. I had chicken and leek pasty and my husband had beef pasty. Both excellent and flavorful. Our waiter, Alex B.(Aka #1) was attentive and has a great personality. He is a good asset for the restaurant. Definitely a great place to visit.

Awesome food and world class blue grass band. The no name band was worth the trip. The club sandwich was too much to eat which doesn’t happen very often. Prices are very reasonable and good up beat atmosphere.

Pretty neat experience. Nice place, the beer selections were nice, and the food was interesting. If you’re looking for something out of the ordinary, I highly recommend. They tend to do live music too. I’m no soccer fan, but it was just on in the background; I was afraid this place was gonna just be a soccer bar.

Just so-so. The food was alright, considering I was in a not-really-so-British Pub in suburban Columbia. It was a Tuesday night and they had a local bluegrass band shoved into a tiny corner of the bar. At least they had a decent beer selection. The waitress was obviously fishing for tip with her overdone southern charm, but she was attentive and put the Braves game on for me. Probably not going back.

Their bartenders are the most attentive and friendly in town… especially Jenn, Kim and James PICKLE! I love these guys. They always know what I’m coming in for and have it to me within seconds. Constantly rotating seasonal craft beers are top notch. Try the Scotch egg or sausage roll to start. The Town of London burge with an English banger, HP sauce and fried egg makes it my favorite burger in town. It’s massive, so plan to share. You will be in burger heaven!(Their black and bleu is great too!)

I scouted out a few places to stop on my recent road trip & British Bulldog Pub made the cut. This place reminded me of the many nights I spent at The Blackbird in Earls Court when I was in London last year. All the expected on tap: Harp, Guinness, and my new fave Magner’s. Lots of European football on a plethora of tellies throughout the pub. I grabbed a seat at the bar and got myself a pint. The gent behind the bar(who’s name escapes me) told me it was his first night; I promised to be gentle. I needed some food & room service at Comfort Suites wasn’t going to cut it so I ordered up some Guinness pie & chips. It may have been warm outside and I may have regretted my order when I had to walk home, but it was delish and I would get it again. The gravy was thick & flavorful and was the perfect consistency to dip my chips in. I don’t go for steak fries often, but these were delicious & hit the spot. I heard they have trivia on Wednesdays but I didn’t stick around to find out; I had a long drive ahead of me the next day. Friendly atmosphere and great bartenders would keep me coming back to this neighborhood pub any time I’m in the Columbia area.
