Target Stores Columbia Mall

I guess this Target is a pretty good one. They have a pretty good selection of products and things are usually in stock. They also sell things that are hard to find anywhere else. The store is sometimes a wreck but I blame that on the high volume of customers coming in and out all day long.
One thing I did notice is that the younger employees seem to appear very sad. Of course, they’d probably rather be doing blow on the streets of New York than be there, but still. At least fake it a little bit.

Normal upscale chic type Target store. The store was recently remodeled in smaller mini type of Super Target. They have medium size area of grocery products. Nothing compared to a full service grocery store or Super WalMart but fulfills the need for basic grocery shopping. Pricing is comparable or slightly better than other stores. Even better when you combine it with Target Red card discount
The store is an anchor store for Columbia Mall. This allows you to combine grocery shopping with general purpose errand shopping.

This Target isn’t much different from other Targets; the employees are somewhat genuinely friendly and you get what you need. I’ve never had a bad experience with the employees until yesterday (12÷30÷14). The experience was so disappointing that I had to get on Unilocal to let this Target store know that Danielle is EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional. I went in for a simple return that went smoothly, and I was able to get my money back but she seemed very occupied with chatting with her coworkers. She didn’t even bother to interact with me with the least amount. I’m not very good with technology and whenever I use Cartwheel, my daughter helps me. Danielle spoke to me with a very condescending tone like I was stupid when I asked whether or not the discount gets taken out of my refund. She didn’t seem like she wanted to help me at all. Please teach your employees how to interact with your «guests». If there was anything lower than an F grade, I would gladly give Danielle that grade.

Terrible customer service and a return policy that is a major issue. I received a blu Ray disc and needed to exchange it for a DVD. What should have taken five minutes ended up taking about 25 minutes at around 8 AM when there were few customers in the store. I ended up voiding my exchange when I realized that since I didn’t have the receipt; even though I just wanted to exchange for the DVD version, I would have to spend extra money to do it.
Ridiculous return policy, bad customer service. At least when you go to Wal Mart the exchange/​return process doesn’t automatically assume that you have stolen from the store and penalize you for the thefts that others have made.
I don’t think I’ll shop at this Target again, too many bad experiences and too much money spent.

Good Target. Wide selection and is now very organized. Fresh groceries are a plus as well. Much rather shop here than other stores nearby.

Although this is not my favorite Target it is a good one. The location is great, the employees are helpful, and the store usually has a good stock of items available.
Too busy. I find myself going to the Jefferson City store more often.

The location is good-​it is near I-​70. It can be tough navigating in and out of here as it shares an entrance with the COMO mall. And I mean it is PHYSICALLY attached to the mall. The other BIZARRE thing is that THIS Target is not rearranged like other Targets. For example, all the baby diapers, lotions, wipes, etc. are on a back wall between electronics and Health & Beauty, NOT near the baby section. When I asked the employees about the location of baby wipes, even THEY acknowledge that their store is arranged differently than the rest of America’s Target stores. Hmmm… So – be forewarned, it is not the predictable chain store format we have come to know and love.

I love Target, and this one is okay. It’s pretty organized and usually well-​stocked. The associates have been helpful and nice when I’ve needed them. I have no complaints, but there’s nothing very special about this one, either. It is always busy, though — be ready to wait in a line even if you only have one item.

This store is always busy and they seem to run out of stock on good sale items rather quickly. The Columbia store seems to have something against the use of coupons, while the Jeff City store accepts them with a smile. And the fact that Jeff City has a much larger grocery section (including several aisles of frozen foods, lots of lunch meats, dairy, etc.) is quite depressing since we’re a larger city. Would love to see the Columbia store upgraded to something along the lines of the Jeff City store with a pharmacy and expanded selection. Not a terrible store, but could be so much better!
