I have been going to Dr. Frost for over 20 years. My mother went to him before me and recommended him when I was a teen in pain from a car accident(my neck was bending backwards, it is strange to see that difference after treatment). I’ve been to other chiropractors(moving out of the area kind of forces you to) but I have never met anyone who can sincerely hold a candle to Dr Frost. The guy does not age. He bikes, he does hot yoga, he does paleo and has an immense wealth of information on things you’d never expect. I was getting numbness and tingling in my fingers from bashing a keyboard all day, and he showed me how to tape my fingers at night to allow circulation in my wrist to revive. It only took a few nights before I was back to normal. I had a pinched nerve, he told me how to cycle ice and heat to get the best relief. When I asked about natural options, he had a place to recommend. I sit at a desk all day and my back aches, he suggested using a balance ball instead of a chair(his office manager preferred it). He also did something I didn’t expect. Many years ago, I had brought my husband to him as he was diagnosed with scoliosis when he was kid. Dr. Frost won’t touch a patient without x-rays, so you either have to pay for them or bring them if you’ve had them recently. It’s the most expensive thing you ever have to pay for there, if your insurance doesn’t cover it. He reviewed the x-rays with me and my husband and told him«You don’t have scoliosis, one of your legs is shorter than the other.» My husband could clearly see it in the x-ray, that indeed, his hips had rotated to compensate for one of his legs being shorter. Dr. Frost’s next question was simply«Do you hurt?» My husband responded that he didn’t. Dr. Frost just said«Then you don’t need me.» He recommended that he never get lifts in his shoes to try to level it out, that his body had already made the necessary adjustments, but come back if he ever started feeling pain. That was it. There was nothing to fix, so he didn’t try to draw it out. He always leaves his cell phone on his answering machine in case he’s not open when you need him. Even if he was not originally going to be there, he will make it work for when you can come in. He has been downsizing his office a lot over the years, but I am so thankful he is still helping people. I get to the point where I get completely seized up and hobble in and as much as I know I need to be better about maintenance appointments, he always works me back out to mobility.
