The best pizza in CoMo. Really loved the Meat Lover and tried it numerous times. You will definitely found this place a paradise if you are crazy for great pizzas and cool drinks.

I may be in the minority but I think the pizza itself is just okay and overpriced. I like the fresh veggies and meat they use, but the crust seems kind of thick for my liking and the sauce just seems a bit bland. The atmosphere and people who work there are both fantastic, and should only improve when they move into the new (well old, reconstructed) location in the fall.

A great local pizzeria. Lots of options for couples or large groups. Food is always good but be sure to get there early in the evening or you might be waiting a long time for your pie. Good news they have beer on tap at all locations and a full bar at the South location and hopefully the downtown location once moved into their old-​new-​old space.

I had an epic time with friends at Shakespeare’s to end the SundayFunday. I ate my pizza while smiling after every bite. The taste of my pizza that I custom ordered was perfect! Ordered delivery about a week or so ago. We got the Masterpiece & it definitely live up to it name & reputation! Takes pizza to a whole new level. However, the pepperoni & cheese I ordered for my kids wasn’t was I was expecting (taste wise). But they liked it. Will be ordering again!

This place is actually pretty good. I’ve been staying in the tiger hotel and room service is a little crazy here so each night we’ve been ordering pizza from this place and it’s been great. Probably going to get it again tonight!

Great pizza, great atmosphere. It’s not cheap, but the ingredients are obviously fresh and the flavors are hard to beat. I’ve found it’s generally tough to eat their pizza without making a horrible mess without using a fork. The toppings are so numerous and weighty that they tend to slide off if you pull a slice out … but isn’t that a good problem to have?
Hate that they tore down the old building, but glad to know they’re rebuilding on the same spot with a (promised) similar ambiance.

Went to Columbia for a football game & found Shakespeare’s… We were greeted with friendly service when ordering. You order, find a table, & wait for them to call your name. When we sat down some college guys saw we were from out of town & said you picked the best place to eat… I figured that was a good sign! The cheese bread, pizza, & drinks were all good… I read about the pickle & beer on Unilocal & had to try it– must be a local thing but it was tasty!

Pizza was delicious. Thicker, breadier crust. Much different than rival Pizza Tree not far away.
You can get two slices and a drink for $ 7. Great deal.
The salads looked really good too. One had a bunch of meats and cheese. Simple salad. Nothing crafty or artisan but it was still really good.
If you like thin crust, this is not the place for you.
Charming, fun, active atmosphere. Great for lunch.

Shakespeare’s is famous in Columbia and is certain to be a good experience. Their pizza is good, staff is fun, and they have a good number of toppings available. Prices do seem a little high to me considering the toppings are very basic, but I love that you can buy their dough VERY affordably to make your own pizza as well.

Shakespeare’s is definitely a fantastic spot to go with friends, eat some great pizza, and relax. While the pizza takes a little while to make (they make everything at the time of the order), it’s definitely worth the wait. My boyfriend and I split a medium sized Hawaiian pie, and it was the perfect amount of food for two hungry college kids. You have the option of sitting outside on the patio, inside, or at the bar in the back. No matter what, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed with a Shakespeare’s experience.

A-​ok! Fresh toppings at this very popular college town pizza joint. The large pepperoni, ground beef and green pepper pizza was very good and the Salad was a generous potion and started us off right. Order food at cashier, order beer (or in our case canned alcoholic dry apple cider– yum!) at bar, get own utensils and well loved red towel napkins, and pizza stand; they bring the pizza to your table. The pizza came out hot and delicious. The tables are crammed a little too close for my taste, but it’s a popular place, so everyone understands.

I went in with so-​so expectations — my wife has hyped it up for years, and I am a pizza snob, but expected not-​very-​good pizza. She insisted on getting the Hawaiian, which took about 15 minutes to come out on a weekend at lunchtime. In the mean time, get your drinks, etc.
So on to drinks — I saw the bar had Duchesse de Burgogne, a hard-​to-​find Belgian sour ale, for $ 6. Absolutely, with no hesitation, that bad boy was on my table in seconds. It was a fresh keg even, and was quite delicious.
The pizza itself was quite good, actually. Lots of toppings, a tasty crust that was neither thick nor thin. You can tell it’s not the highest quality pizza, but is nonetheless quite enjoyable. That being said, the people we were with got a pizza with various random toppings and I didn’t enjoy it quite as much, so it appears you have to choose the right pizza (which is why my wife insisted on Hawaiian)
Price is high. A bit too high if you ask me. That’s my biggest knock.

Stopped in after reading all of the great reviews. Unilocal did not disappoint! We had a large cheese which was pretty damn large! Lots of cheese, no complaints! We also ordered a small masterpiece and it was loaded with toppings! Everyone was friendly and they always say something funny when they call your name to grab your pizza.

We finally made it to Shakespeare’s!
Let me preface my review by making it clear that I am a St. Louis-​style pizza girl through and through, so I don’t go crazy over other types of pizza for the most part.
We ordered three pizzas for our group (and ordered way too much!): a bacon, a pepperoni, and Panda’s Pepper (pepper cheese, pepperoni, green peppers, banana peppers, and jalapenos). Hands down, I loved the Panda’s Pepper best! The bacon was well-​covered with diced or crumbled bacon. The pepperoni pizza seemed a little skimpy in the pepperoni department. The pepperoni IS sliced thicker than at most places, but there weren’t many slices per slice of pizza.
The crust is a medium thickness.
We enjoyed it and would probably go with one of their specialty pizzas again if we make it back in that direction.
The staff was great! The guy that took our order was patient and answered all my questions.
