Bathroom are filthy! I wouldn’t say i ate a pepperoni pizza more like chewing on a plate with cheese and sauce. But the fries were good. The scenery and placement was great just the food was awful not coming just saying. Not recommended if u want good pizza. very disappointing.

As a USC student I have heard so many people rave about this restaurant but I went for lunch and I was less than impressed. The wait staff wasn’t very attentive and we waited far too long to place our order. The pizza was good but nothing too special.

I really used to like coming here. But the other night I stopped in to order a pizza to go. I sure wish I had tried it before I left the establishment. It was very disappointing. Their pizzas used to be so good. But lately they seem to be getting worse and worse. They’re adding more cheese … I guess they think that will improve the flavor. …Not! Any way… I doubt I’ll be returning unless I start seeing some good reviews on Unilocal. They need to hire a new cook, change who they’re ordering the ingredients from, or something. It’s just not the same anymore. Sorry Pizza Man… Get your act back together soon! I miss your good pizzas.

This used to be one of my favorite pizza places, but the food has gone downhill over the years. The interior has a dive bar theme. The prices are insane for a burnt flavorless pizza. Very disappointed and will only return for the cheap pitchers of beer.

A great local dive! Pretty good slices with a crisp thin crust, lots of toppings and lots & lots of cheese. The only knock is I wish they’d cook it a little longer(cheese is more white than golden brown). Also good salads. I love the Greek but the spinach is good too. Try the Greek dressing!

I love pizza man! I have been a regular patron for about 7 years. I have been for lunch, dinner, and breakfast. I love their breakfast! For lunch and dinner I would normally get pizza or a chicken philly: they are both awesome! Paul, «the pizza man» Is a hoot and has become a very good friend. The service staff is extremely nice and friendly. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun«dive» experience!

If these stars could represent negatives as well, I would give it –5 stars. I went there once and will NEVER go back. My friend and I went on a Saturday night before it was super busy and it took our incompetent server at least 15 minutes to take our DRINK orders. This was due to the fact that she was too busy playing candy crush or Instagramming. I don’t know, either way she should not be on her phone when their are PAYING customers. Then it took a substantial amount of time to receive our WATERS. After we got that, she didn’t even ask if we were ready to order. Needless to say, we left.

Love Pizza Man. Great pizza and very reasonable. I will say that I was very disappointed in my visit today as my husband and I went in for buy 1 medium get 1free pizza. Which is awesome for us since my husband lives anchovies and I do not. So we get our own pizzas and still have leftovers. Today when we asked for a box we were told it would be $ 10??? Crazy! I understand that the deal is good but really $ 10 for a box. I mean I would have paid $ 2 or $ 3 but $ 10 is redic.(Especially since I looked up pizza box prices and the are like 30 cents each). I just wish we were told this new policy when we ordered. We probably only would have bought 1 pizza if we knew ahead of time. Just bad business to change that drastically.

Love this place. I have eaten here a bunch but am just writing a review after my last visit. We went for breakfast which was great, you really can’t beat the breakfast pizza here. Cheap beer and pitchers of mimosas are always popular as well. Wait staff is attentive and fun. Any place that serves good food, cheap beer, and has Galaga gets 5 stars in my book!

I love going to pizza man anytime I’m in town. Cheap beer pitchers($ 3 rolling rock pitcher Monday night!) and great crunchy crust pizza. Correct, it’s not bready or soft – it’s a different kind of pizza. The worn midcentury building, divey ambiance, dirt lot, domestic draughts – all make this a great relaxed place to pass some time. Nobody is rushing you out of your booth. Love the porch on a fair weather day.

This place is pretty shabby. Kind of a normal roadside bar sort of atmosphere(Deer Hunter arcade games). I gotta say though, best cheesesteaks I’ve had since I moved from Philly. Definitely worth the stop.

It’s the perfect«hole in the wall» kinda place. Large portions and a really good breakfast… Don’t expect perfect just good…

Not good pizza, weird parking situation(you almost brewed 4-wheel drive) and a creepy, beat looking bartender hobbling around(not) enthusiastically putting together the smallest, most expensive, crunchy-crusted pizza of all time.

You call this pizza? Ordered a large pizza to go and was thoroughly disappointed. Half the slices barely had any cheese or toppings on them and the crust tasted more like baked cardboard than pizza dough. The inside of the restaurant looked inviting enough, but make sure you drink a lot of beer there before ordering a pie. This place should be called«Pizza Dog» rather than«Pizza Man».

After years of 241Thursday nights, last week I got charged $ 3 for a togo box for my leftovers. Really– pizza man if you can’t afford to give a customer a box for their leftovers on 241 night you should rethink your special. You lost a loyal customer over a box– the exact box you gladly GIVE away the rest of the week. It’s good pizza if you get it half price!

People love this place and I can see why, but the pizza just didn’t taste good at all. Three of my friends and me thought it was going to be great, with all the hype but it’s a no go. Maybe I would go for a beer there but I did not enjoy the pizza.

If you’re gonna get pizza in the South, it should be here. Excellent sauce.

Mediocre pizza, even by Columbia standards. A below reviewer commended this establishment for being«generous» with their cheese. However, any pizza devotee knows that cheese-to-sauce ratio is the metric by which a quality pizza is judged. On a Pizza Man pie, the thin layer of sauce(itself actually quite good) is suffocated by an ungodly pile of cheap mozzarella and its attendant juices. The crust is too thick and uniformly crunchy for my tastes, but it did serve well as a sturdy foundation for the cheesy, greasy mess on top. I give the pizza 2 stars for sauce, crust integrity, and a South Carolina handicap. Not the worst, but definitely not worth a second visit from this pizza hog.

It is a dive. It is the BEST pizza in Columbia… heck best pizza in the State. Use to go here for slice night in college and stil go for a pizza just about everytime we are in town. Even my husband loves it. In our opinion it is the closest thing in South Carolina to a REALNYC pizza.
