awesome Kung pao chicken. Their sushi is not so amazing but it does the trick when in need of Asian food.
The don’t have chopsticks on the table and bring everyone forks which I think is kinda of strange and their waiters are kinda all over the place so service and that great.
Happy the food is ok.

I had a mix of sushi and entrée food. It was all delicious. Service was fantastic. If you’re staying nearby, this is probably the best option in walking distance.

Very happy with our meals. So far, this is the best Asian food my family and I have had here in all of South Carolina.
I had the Thai Basil, great flavor, tons of shrimp. My son had the Mongollian Chicken, it was awesome.
My wife had the create your own vegetable plate, it was good, but missing some flavor. It may have been better if they mixed the sauce with the vegetables to infuse more flavor before serving. I’m sure if we asked they would have done it without question. Still no major complaints though.
My daughter (age 6) had the Shanghai Noodles. She loved it. Overall we are a very happy family and glad to have tried M Café.
We’ll be eating here every time we visit Columbia.

The sushi is very good with lots of different rolls. I can’t speak to the quality of the non-​ushi items, but they all sound good. The service was decent but not particularly warm. They brought out my first roll a good ten minutes before my second. Also the chairs were very uncomfortable, and there was some food residue on my soy sauce plate, but I’ve worked in a dish room so I understand how easy it is for things like that to slip by. Despite my nitpicking, the food was very good, and I left full and happy.

Mongolian beef is my go to dish here but don’t eat the hot peppers that come with it unless you enjoy pain! The good food and fast service keeps me coming back. Sushi is also good here. They have several good healthy options as well.

I went here on a Friday night before it got busy and the atmosphere seemed pretty upscale asian… but they were blasting 1980’s pop hits over the speakers. It was jarring and set me up for the disappointing food to come. The sushi seemed WAY overpriced and the waiter I had kept pushing expensive dishes and alcohol. I ordered water and some cashew chicken to share. My Chinese girlfriend ordered some spring rolls. The food came quickly and they even brought extra rice and a plate for her, which was nice.
The food was OK, I guess. The vegetables were fresh and the chicken was not previously frozen (had a good texture), but the sauce was kind of boring and bland. The spring rolls were good and had a nice dipping sauce, but my girlfriend said (and I agreed) that for $ 20, it’s not unfair to expect more quality. An order of cashew chicken from a cheap takeout place would be similar in taste, but cost a LOT less… and that’s where M Café loses stars. It’s a 3-​star place that charges 4-​star prices…
The most disappointing thing, though, was the rice… it was the dry, mealy kind you get at the bottom-​tier Chinese buffets. It was the weakest part of an already weak meal and I would never eat the rice there again for that kind of money. California rice is pretty good and costs more than the Thai Lucky Elephant brand most places seem to use, but I will pay extra for good rice.

Sushi tasted fresh. Our Chinese dishes were good although far from being «authentic». We met the owner who seemed friendly. The restaurant and restroom need fresh paint and updating. Lunch prices were affordable.

It was okay but nothing great. Rolls were pretty generic and atmosphere could use some work.

Cool place, great food, excellent location — for Asian Fusion, and good sushi, this is a good place to go. A local success story.
