Humpty Juniors

I lived in the area for over 10 years and drove by a million times, but finally stopped in for the first time the other night. I did not know what I was missing! I had a cheesesteak, and it was one of the best I’ve ever had! Fries were great! Stole a few bites of my daughters ice cream and that didn’t disappoint either! Needless to say I’ll be back!

Came for the name, stayed for the great food. I will come back again in the near future.
My friend and I ordered chicken wings with Old Bay spice, grass fed beef burger and a milkshake called Muddy Sneakers. The meat they used were above average in terms of fast food. The burger was a good mix of lean beef and fat, not mushy. It was very favourful. They used better chicken to make the wings too. Another highlite is their hand-​cut french fries. It was made the old school way. Personally, I always prefer french fries with potato skin. The selections of milk shake were impressive. Muddy Sneaker was the flavour of the month. It was made of vanilla, chocolate, caramel cubes, crushed peanuts and some other stuff. The shake is very thick and on the sweet side.

I got two humpty dogs, side of fries, and soda for about $ 7. The workers were friendly and the food tasty. If I’m ever in the area when it’s hot, I’d definitely like to try their milk shakes.

The last stop on our bff vacation was here. The food was good and the ice cream was wonderful. So many options and combinations.
The atmosphere was great. That was definitely the best part.
The staff was very nice and helpful. So many choices so I had a few questions.
I woudl visit again. The only thing I did not like was that you smell like grease or fryer when leaving.

Do you want fast food at a fair price without the guilt of… I wish I hadn’t paid so much to eat that mess??? This place solves that feeling you may get after eating at fast food places or diners.
Humpty’s sandwiches are either organic grass fed or grain fed beef or chicken breast. Their fries are fresh cut. Slaw is fresh and homemade. Pork is smoked right on the premises. This guy is not cutting corners.
The décor is 60 diner. But this is no greasy spoon. It’s eat of the floor clean. I was treated like a regular though it was my 2^nd time. (As a black man I tend to notice if there’s a pause or funny looks when I walk into a place… None of that here.)
The choices are plenty. So whether you want lunch/​dinner platter, a burrito, wings, or a hot dog it all good. The items on the menu are far from plain –unless that’s just the way you order it.
That leads me to dessert. My first experience with Humpty’s was for ice cream with family and friends about 25 of us. Understand we have more than a few places to get ice cream around here, fast food as well for that matter. Humpty’s has by far the best variety in flavors and toppings. That night we all left raving about how delicious the cookies, sundaes, shakes and ice cream were.
If your use to –frozen, over processed, full of who knows what –fast food, Humpty’s is too gourmet for you. This guy cares about what he’s selling the public and it shows.

i want to like this place as much as i did when it was humpty dumptys… i really do!
but
i’ve visited 3 times since the new people took over.
(humpty dumptys used to have THE BEST sauce for the cheesesteaks)
i’ve tried the cheesesteaks. didn’t like anything about the flavor of the meat or sauce.
pierogies…maybe it’s because i’ve never had «handmade» pierogies before… but just didn’t like them. my g/​f didn’t like them and my kids didn’t like them. you might, someone has to.
they have «grass-​fed» and «grain-​fed» hamburgers. near as i can tell, the only difference is two bucks. they both tasted the same to me. just alright, nothing special.
the fries… i have NEVER, in my 50+ years on this planet had fries as soggy as theirs. the first time was just after they opened and i thought they must have just made a bad batch. weeks later they still make them the same so if you like to drink your fries, this is the place to eat.
they do have good ice cream and several different flavors of shakes.
and i’m not sure where Unilocal got the «steakhouse» from in the listing, the cheesesteaks are as close to a steakhouse as humpty juniors gets.
