Hotel Locust

we are cheesesteak fanatics and went to hotel locust based on the recommendation of a few friends. i had a 6″ chicken cheesesteak and could not finish it. i am a «big» girl so this is saying a lot. they serve their cheesesteak with salsa (which i declined, i got mayo) but after ordering for the first time i can see how that would be good because the chicken almost had a mexican spice flavor to it. more meat fell off my 6″ sub than they put in the entire «large» sub at smith’s. no joke. you are also not overwhelmed by onions like at the competition. only complaint was that it was a little salty for my taste.
boyfriend had a regular beef cheesesteak and he cannot stop talking about a week later. service was ok, there was only one server and she was busy. prices were excellent (about $ 5 for 6″ and $ 7 for a 12″).

First time — Cheese Steak was the best I ever had
Second time — waited over 1 hour and 15 min for two sandwiches — walked out
Third time — tried the cheese steak again — they used medium or hot salsa for sauce — too spicy — it’s supposed to be italian not mexican
Will not go back
