Gastro Center of Maryland

Went to this centre for treatment. and they dont see properly and diagnosed for something else. and the bills were not sent to the address instead directly reported to the Eastern Account system debt collector. Treatment is not fair and billing department is also not fair…

This place is the worst. I wish I was exaggerating. Since Dr. Tignor left, I have absolutely no reason to go back there. For months I have been having digestive issues. Dr. Tignor was helpful, and wanted to get to the bottom of the issue right away. I took a stool test, sent it to the lab, and had an upper endoscopy done a couple days later. She explained to me the results of the upper endoscopy and let me know that it would take around a week for the stool test to come back from the lab. Unfortunately, Dr. Tignor left. A couple weeks later I had an appointment with a different «doctor». Honestly, she looked at me like I was crazy. I paid for her to tell me what I already heard, that my next options could be a colonoscopy. I asked her about the results of the stool test. Again, she looked at me like I was crazy and told me that she couldn’t find the results. She tried calling the lab in which they didn’t answer. She told me that she would get a hold of them later and to make another appointment (more money??). Months later I am still having my stomach issues. I called the office numerous times to ask about the stool results. One receptionist told me she couldn’t find my results and would call me later… never got that call… but they made sure that I got the bill for it. I’m just so over this office. I feel like they don’t really care about solving your issues. All they care about is money.

I like the place and the people but I wish the doctor was more understanding of urgent phone calls as she had forgotten to give me medication twice, never calls back, advises you to come in for something that could have been spoken about over the phone just to have a $ 150 bill in the mail from coming in, and downplays medical conditions in which I found to be a bit more serious then what she told me as she made it sound like some sort of flu that’s common.

The gastro center was nice and I really liked Dr Tignor.
Lately though, I’ve been getting strange calls that sound really sketchy and not professional at all, saying that I owe money. Thing is, I haven’t been to this place since 2013. I can’t get through to their billing department to verify and in a week they haven’t called me back, either.
I checked against my HSA records and I definitely have records of having paid this Dr. I don’t know what is going on, but I expect my doctor’s office to be run better than this. If they can’t keep their bills and money straight and timely, how can I feel confident in how my records are being treated, and how good their advice is?
In the end, they didn’t even fix my problem.

This is one of the best physicians offices I have been to.
They have on-​site phlebotomist and do on-​site endoscopy/​colonoscopy.
The RNP was exceptionally nice and thorough and seemed to be genuinely empathetic and enthusiastic. She took interest in me once I told her I was a pharmacy school student.
The entire staff was warm and caring, which is pretty unusual from medical offices these days.
I had some complications following my procedure and everyone was very nice and attempted to resolve my problems until I was fine.
I will suggest this place to anyone in need of a GI consult. The office seems a bit cluttered, but I can look past that with the exceptional patient care they offer. I was very, very impressed by this facility.
