Capital Teas is my go-​to tea shop. However, the location at Columbia Mall is just a kiosk with limited selection and my least favorite location. They sell about 24 kinds of tea, tea ware, tea infused chocolate, and Japanese tea packets. We felt that the customer service was lacking. There was one man mending the booth and completing sales transaction. He wasn’t really approachable. We waited awhile to get assistance. Instead of getting our usual blends, we decided to try something new — a heart shaped box of Rose Pu-​erh tea. I wished that they could sample smell and taste this Rose Pu-​erh tea.

Lovely tea blends. Which I why I give it three stars. One star for everything else. If you order pre made tea — BEWARE. The place is filthy despite only being a counter. The staff is very un– knowledgeable about everything from price to what they carry. Go to the Annapolis location, it’s worth it.

If I could give 0 stars for this place I would! I ordered an iced green tea from here, I knew it was a nicer place to get an iced tea from but not $ 7 nice! Wow. They are all out of any sweeteners and didn’t let me know until after I had paid the ridiculous amount for a medium sized ice beverage.
Note directly to the staff: please let your customers know when you are OUT of stock of standard items such as sugar BEFORE they pay and while they are ordering. A menu board with prices would also be appreciated before I have to hand over my wallet next time I buy a tea!
Review after tasting: tastes like water with minimal flavoring. Will not visit again!
