This might be the most relaxing place in Columbia. You start your experience by walking into a dark room with Himalayan rock salt covering the floor and walls. Large salt lamps give the room a warm glow. You sit in an extremely comfortable zero gravity recliner and the owner(a very friendly woman) covers you in a warm blanket. Relaxing ambient music plays and shortly after you are settled in a special machine is turned on that grinds the rock salt into microscopic particles that you breath in. Sessions last 30 minutes. I have gone in twice. Once was just to check it out and relax and I went yesterday because I’ve had extreme congestion this year due to allergies and a sinus infection. As I zoned out in the tranquil environment, I could feel my throat congestion loosen up almost completely. Both times I have gone there, I have drifted into a state of relaxing half consciousness. Really can’t recommend this place more both for relaxation and any sort of respiratory ailments.

Went in for my first halotherapy session today and will definitely be back. I’ve struggled my whole life with asthma and when I get a cold, it almost always moves to my chest and I have a lingering cough for weeks on end. I could feel that I was breathing so much easier after just one session(45 minutes). You go into a relaxing dimly lit room where the floor is made up entirely of himalayan rock salt, then you will relax on a zero gravity recliner and a blanket(temperature in the room is around 66 F for best absorption of the salt. They then pipe in finely ground salt for inhalation while you relax and reap the benefits. They also sell salt inhalers(YAY) and salt lamps, so I’m going to be back to buy one of each once they have them back in stock(they are very popular, so they sell out quickly). The owner is very nice and explained how she started the spa after trouble with COPD and how the salt has helped her recover from that.
