The Five Points neighborhood is dotted with a ton of local boutiques and a few vintage shops too. Of all of them(and yes, I visited ALL of them in one day), this was the friendliest. I actually found myself wandering in after noticing their huge selection of vintage Dooney & Burke bags from the 1980s, including the same exact style that I had strapped to my body that day. The shopkeepers had eyes like hawks, coming over and asking me all about my bag, which was a gift from my sister and is in super amazing condition. And then this older gent that was shopping chimed in and was like, «What’s the deal with these bags? My daughter asked for one for Christmas and I have no idea what I’m doing. Tell me everything.» So we did. I browsed a little bit. The merchandise is generally high quality vintage(plenty of recognizable brand names) so the prices vary from medium to high. Most of my time there was spent chatting with what I assume is the owner about all sorts of things though: Dooney & Burkes, other awesome vintage bags, Minneapolis, the 70+ degree weather.

Nice looking shop! This is womens fashions, though we did not know until we went in and while we were there the lady took the time to tell us everywhere else to go and how to get there.

This outlet clothing store has a NYC sort of feel. Clothing is jam packed in there and you have to dig, but I’ve found pieces here that have become my favorites. The prices are super cheap too. The last time I was there most of the clothes were from Soft Surroundings. If they were $ 75 in the catalogue, they’re about $ 30 here. The guy working behind the counter is Randy. He’s owned the place for over 10 years and is super nice. While you’re there remember to say hi to Bob, his Irish Setter. You can’t miss him.
