Ramadan buffet. You get what you pay for. Overall it was s little flat. Not much flavor to all the different foods. But we where hungry and I guess that made up for it. We have been here before and ordered regular food, which was much much better.

Walked in décor and everything was nice. Customer service and lady at register was fabulous. Ordered the lamb and beef shawarma on the Turkish bread. I would give this place more of 3 ½ stars if I could because the food wasn’t bad it just wasn’t anything to write home about. The Turkish bread was good however I didn’t feel it really went great with the lamb and beef shawarma. I had maybe like 3 – 4 bites where I just bit into fat pieces I spit out… Also the meat was tender but didn’t have much flavor. The tahini was very good. The vegetables could have been a bit more fresh as well. Tomatoes were kind of soggy. I would give this place a try I’m sure they have a lot more things to offer on there menu. I’ll give it another try and try something else next time!

My boyfriend was kind enough to go get me dinner tonight and deliver it to me at work. Well, you forgot his falafel wrap so he had to drive back and get it. Columbia heights isn’t exactly close to where he came from either. In fact I recommended NY Gyro when he asked what I wanted for dinner. Also, is hummus traditionally served without bread? Also my sandwich was on the dry side. I feel awful that my boyfriend went out of his way to bring me dinner and it got messed up. Next time we trek to Columbia Heights we will just go to NY Gyro or big Marina. Just skip this place in my opinion.

Very delicious food. Eat here almost weekly and usually get the Filfillah Platter. The kibbe and skewers of grilled lamb & chicken included in the dish are awesome. Comes with salad & bread. They recently renovated & looks a lot nicer inside.

Twice in a week getting disappointed now… The new model without service is awful. It’s neither here nor there. Got a big group from work based on earlier great experience only to find out that within a week they removed the service. Was embarrassing to say the least… Was told that the old model of food with service will return by weekend, so brought family and friends this time… only to find out that no service again. No service wouldn’t be a big deal if they had figured out the service-free model, but that’s far from it… Hate to see my favorite place go this route:((( Not to mention that the platter conveniently doesn’t include lamb kebabs anymore… madness And here’s is the cup they serve tea in now… a cheap styrofoam crap… Maybe it’s time to give Bhasa Grill another try…

I checked out this place on a Monday during the lunch hour because it had good reviews. Unfortunately it wasn’t that great. The restaurant was mostly empty and it took them a few minutes to notice me at the counter. After ordering a Kofta sandwich and waiting 15 – 20 minutes for my food to come(in the meantime they screwed up someone else’s order) the worker brought my food. The sandwich consisted of two kofta patties, tomato, red onion, and a huge and extremely stale bun. So stale I was barely able to bite and eat it. I wound up eating less than half of it and taking off to get back to work on time. Sorry, the baklava was good, but there are just too many other Mediterranean places in the area for me to consider eating here again.

Dined here with a group of 8 on a Sunday evening, no problem getting a table. So much food, we walked out with 3 full takeout boxes! The hummus was my favorite– so smooth. We also enjoyed the falafel, you’ll get SEVERAL on one plate so be prepared! The tabbouleh salad was disappointing as it did not come dressed, however the greek salad made up for it. The kofta kebab was on the dry side, but again, the other food made up for it: lamb kebabs and chicken kebabs. No need to bother with the baklava, it was dry. I plan to give this place another go. I’ll return for the hummus and would love to try the shawarmas and pita pies.

This place is insane! Best Mediterranean/Turkish food in the city. And it’s not even close.

I took off one star from my previous review. That’s because of the dessert, kunefe. It used to be one of the best but last 2 times I tried, it became bad. It is salty now, on a small plate. What happened to the classic plate to serve this dessert?

Décor is simple. Ambience is nothing special. The food though was very good. The Turkish bread was delicious. Nice falafel and shawarma. The best thing we ate though was the cheese and zaatar pies. These alone were worth the trip.

Need more salt/spices in Adana Kabob! This is my 3rd visit to Filfillah, All 3 times I have ordered Adana Kabob expecting different results everytime. Good place, portion sizes are good, salad is super fresh, Turkish bread is good but I have to give 3 stars to this place because Adana kabob tastes bland here, yes! I’m not sure if they use salt/spices to flavor the kabob. Turkish kabobs or patties are mixed with spices and herbs to bring the flavors out. Adana kabob at this place made me feel like I’m eating a burger patty! Overall not a bad Mediterranean place to experience in minneapolis area.

Lower end atmosphere, excellent food, can be pricy so order carefully or split the combination. I normally don’t let servers up-sell me the most expensive thing on the menu($ 15.95 combination plater) but the kid was really nice and I wanted to have a variety. Salad was quite good. Combination plate came out with bread, it was a ton of food, enough for two to share. Food was excellent, reminded me of driving back to Istanbul and stopping at Bursa(I think) at Kabobs is kandur. Very good! People are very nice, I’d definitely come back.

I stopped in for a quick lunch. I was surprised at the prices – a little steep for a place with Formica tables and plastic plates – so I got a shawarma sandwich on Turkish bread. The shawarma was tasty but came with grilled onions and cooked(sort of flavorless) tomatoes. And that was it, no side of salad, fries, etc. The amazing part of the sandwich was the bread. OMG. Delicious, worth the trip. A piece of baklava for dessert was only a buck, which surprised me since other prices seemed a little high. Despite my lukewarm review of today’s visit, I think this place is worth another try.

Another Unilocal find. Large menu. We went with a big group so we got to try a little bit of everything. We ordered the Mazza sampler platter for an appetizer. The hummus, dolma and baba ganoush were outstanding. They freshly baked bread was dynamite. Kind of like a thick, puffy pita without the pocket in the center. They also serve pizza-like pies on this bread with many different topping options. The kids had falafel sandwiches and we ordered the family sampler feast for 2 which comes with all sorts of beef, lamb and chicken plus rice. Everything was extremely tasty and a great value. One of the better middle eastern restaurants in the Twin Cities. Casual atmosphere and reasonable prices. Tip: Unless you plan on staying up for the next 8 hours alphabetizing your sock drawer I would avoid drinking the Turkish coffee after dinner. It should be classified as a schedule II narcotic.

They have very good humus and baklava. It worst to try it. The mixed grill was ok, beef shawarma is very dry as well as rice. But the rest meat taste very nice. The huge mines is dirty glasses and plates. I almost left when I saw it. 3 out of 5 glasses were dirty((some crumbs were sitting on the plates(((

A family owned restaurant that offers a good value for some excellent Middle Eastern cuisine. My go to whenever I go for Middle Eastern is the mixed grill. Bound to be on every single menu and it’s the best because you can have all of the grilled meats on a platter. For Filfillah, this is only offered in the family style portion(starting with 2 people) and it is a heck of a deal. For five people we ordered a large order of hummus, falafel, and the mixed grill for 4, and we had enough leftovers easily for 2 more meals. The best dish of the meal for me was hands down their hummus. Incredibly flavorful and they used a very good olive oil. It was the perfect compliment to their Turkish bread which was pretty darn awesome. The falafel was nicely flavored but I think they over ground the chickpeas and it led to a more mushy consistency than I would have preferred. The meat we had was piled high and the kebabs were great. I was happy that the chicken remained moist since often times they end up dry being white meat. The restaurant is definitely not a place where you would go on a first date but it was clean, updated, and clearly not setup for a sit down restaurant but a fast food/take out style. Being run by the family, service wasn’t great since we didn’t get checked up on after being served and I had to flag someone down for the receipt but not the end of the world since we didn’t really need anything. Big thumbs up for them giving us a free pot of tea since they found out it was our first time at the restaurant and I enjoyed their Turkish coffee.

Baklava here is SOGOOD. It’s probably the best baklava i’ve ever had. It’s super fresh, made daily and they make it the traditional way, in a roll. Definitely try it with tea as well. I just love how it’s not stale. Ordered the mixed grill platter dinner for 2. Which comes with a little bit of everything for only about $ 25. What a deal! The shish kebabs are the best part. Thº — -super juicy and tender filled with flavor. The beef and lamb shawarma is a bit dry but the chicken is fantastic. Definitely go for chicken kebabs and shawarma here. The deal also comes with rice and salad. it’s A LOT of food! You really get your moneys worth here. Staff here is super nice and knowledgable, if you have any questions, feel free to ask them. They’re super nice about it.

Most Twin Cities restaurants hipsterfy ethnic food into oblivion, but this is real freaking Arab food. I plan on taking my Palestinian friends here when they come to visit. This place has colossal portions of authentic meats, tasty Greek-style salads, and some of the best fresh-baked bread anywhere. I give this place a 10. The Mixed Grill for Two fed us for 4 meals and every single bit of it was spot on. My only gripe was the service seemed to be a bit slow, but you could tell the guy was either fairly new or just having a bad day. With food this good, I can’t fault that. Visit Filfillah, fill up on incredible meat, and enjoy your day. That is all.

If there was 4 ½ I would give them that! Not the ol’ run of the mill, Mediterranean restaurant and here’s why. Thumbs up: –Good customer service, one guy ran the register and served and he did a fantastic job for what it was –Delicious food, the bread and garlic butter I think is what it was is worth the trip alone. The falafels weren’t dry –Located in the strip of Columbia Heights with private parking -$$$ reasonably priced –Veggie friendly –Decent and clean ambience Thumbs down: –Some dishes I observed looked dry –Lack of presentation, but it is semi hole in wall restaurant I will definitely return!

So tried out this place due to the beautiful photos that yall have posted on here. Thank you very much, and i do apologize for not being able to contribute a good photo. Now, for my review. Delicious food and very reasonably priced. I ordered the beef and lamb shawarma, with the hummus. It comes with bread and a small salas too! My mother ordered a wrap, I believe beef and lamb as well and an additional lamb skewer, just to try. The salad came out first, though it had too much oil, my mother thought it was good, and i personally liked the vinger-y ness. Then came out our platters, I indulged in the hummus, it was so good, and the bread was so warm, hot and fresh. It was to die for. My mother was disappointed with her plate, after she saw the bread. We all ate our food and were filled and satisfied. Our total came to $ 19.20 which was very reasonable.
