The Palette Café is no longer open. It moved to and became a brewery that serves lunch and dinner. They should take this restaurant off Unilocal since it appears to current but is not. A lot of time was spent trying to find this restaurant. only to be told it doesn’t exist anymore.

What a pleasant surprise to find this gem in Columbia Falls! One of my friends had been here before so she had recommended it after a day of thrifting when we were starting to get hungry. The inside is very cute and looks sort of artsy like a museum, but is easy to tell it is a café by the outside and inside when you are in here. I got a salad that was all vegan and gluten free. They had a really healthy menu and I have the most annoying allergies and picky dietary needs that can make going out to eat my worst nightmare rather than something enjoyable. I was very happy that I could find something to eat here. They had fresh baked brownies at the front that had cayenne and something else in them and they looked so good I would have totally gotten one if I wasn’t having to be so strict currently with what I eat. My friends both got one or two to take home so I didn’t get to hear how they enjoyed them but I’m sure they were amazing. This location closes early as it is more of a breakfast and lunch place I’m pretty sure, so if you can get here before they are closing up for the day, you won’t be disappointed you tried it! ///My friend did ask for no cheese on a sandwich she got and they had put cheese on it so that was the one downfall from the ordering experience there but other than that it was fine. The lady might have re made it for her if she would have said something but she had already taken a bite and then it wasn’t long before they were closing so she didn’t want to be an inconvenience.

Best place to get delicious unique food. They are currently in the process of moving to Back Slope Brewery down the street and I imagine it will be even more amazing!

My husband and I were impressed by how fresh and healthy the menu was. As a health coach coming from Nashville, a metropolis of amazing restaurants, it was nice to find a cozy little restaurant in my own backyard that I felt good about eating at. I had the wasabi bowl and my husband had the Tai bowl and they were both delicious!

What a fun menu and a phenomenal assortment of delicious offerings! We saw the 5 star average rating here while on our way back to Whitefish. Since it was nearly 2& we were too hungry to drive the additional distance to Whitefish, we stopped. Aren’t we glad we did! Everything was healthy and delicious. Try this cute little place; you will be as glad you found it as we are!

What a fabulous surprise. Traveling thru on vacation we happened upon this only by way of Unilocal! In our party of 4 with variety of needs and preferences; we tried roasted tomato soup, both the Vietnam & Thai bowl, caprese salad, and a beautiful unique powerfully tasty cherry Gorgonzola salad with cherry vinegarette. The GFPNB/choc cookies were amazing as was the moist white choc chip brownies. Homemade caramels divine. Spouse was amazed at the ginger lemonade. We wanted to steal their recipe box. Lol. We shared it all and it was fresh, high quality beautiful and sauces were stand out!!! The only sad part was they are closed on weekends when we would travel thru again on our way home. 5+ So wanted to try more!

Okay, so my feelings about the Palette have not changed. In fact, they are stronger. If i could live here, i would. Its my happy place. The BLT? Amazing. The summer quinoa with goat cheese and a little extra of that fresh basil vinaigrette is my current crush. Peppadews? Yes, please! The wasabi bowl is beautiful. The pear salad, divine. Everything they do is top notch. There are so many things to make you happy and full. And did i mention the cookies? Brownies? Scones that melt in your mouth? Rosemary nut caramels!!? Homemade coffee syrups? I mean, who does that?! The cinnamon dolce is like drinking a snickerdoodle. Just go.

Had the Thai bowl and it was amazing. All three of my teenagers loved what they had also. Service was great. Wish they were in Seattle. A must stop.

What a find on Unilocal! That was the best BLT I’ve ever had with thick maple bacon, balsamic tomatoes, and arugula pressed like a panini. The Vietnamese pulled pork was also very tasty not to mention unique. I also enjoyed the ginger lemonade, but they only give you one refill and both glasses are heavy on ice. The Capreae salad was really fresh and yummy. I had a bite of the ham and tapenad sandwich. It was interesting, but a little tart for my taste. If you’re looking for quality ingredients and unique flavors this place is worth a try.

Wow! This place really earned its 5 star rating. The food is incredible: fresh, balanced and a good blend of healthy meets comfort. The atmosphere excellent with good décor and music and the staff friendly. It’s a must go!

Palette is a sweet little sandwich/salad spot on the main drag in C Falls. Everything on the menu is prepared upon order and everything I’ve had was well represented with a little of their own twist. Wait times can take a little long especially during the lunch rush but the prices are fair and the food is great. I especially like their Vietnamese sandwich which is their take on a tradition Banh Mi.

A fresh dining experience. Great food and service. We took the kids 10, 16 and they loved it. The food was served fast and was really the best we’ve had here on vacation. It’s highly recommend the ginger lemonade.

We stopped here after checking Unilocal. My husband and I shared the ham and cheese panni and a ginger lemonade. The other members of the party had the vegetable bowls. We all agreed the food and service was excellent. If you are near glacier be sure to stop here.

We’re from Seattle, so we like our food as fresh and organic as possible – and gluten free is a serious bonus(I’m allergic). The Palette Café had the best food in all of Glacier National Park(even though they are in Columbia Falls) – so good, that we ate there on our way into Glacier, and again on our way out of Glacier. There’s only a handful of tables in here, so it’s quaint, with good service and amazing food. Don’t let the little strip mall they are located in fool you – it has a great atmosphere inside and great gluten free options.

Great atmosphere. Delicious food. Attentive and friendly staff. Beautiful artwork available for sale. I wish I lived closer so I could stop in more often. This was a nice surprise in an already beautiful part of the world. Now I have even more incentive to return.

I read an article a couple weeks back that said that wraps(the food item) are lazy cooking and usually bad. As I was reading it, I couldn’t help thinking of all the sad, flavorless wraps I have been served over the years. I am pleased to say that what I received at The Palette Café was at the far end of the wrap culinary spectrum. I was leaving Columbia Falls and hitting the road. I had meant to try the Palette Café for a while now, so I made a point of dropping by. I asked for something that one could eat on the go. The friendly lady recommended the Quinoa Wrap(quinoa, jicama, carrot, bell pepper, cilantro, green onion, cabbage and sesame dressing) to which I added chicken. It was tightly wrapped and densely delicious. Indeed, this was a power-food«stick of dynamite» with explosive flavors and amazing textures. It even came with a side of paper-thin, fried kale chips. And, although I think people seem to be sticking kale in everything these days, I found these to be quite tasty. The inside of the restaurant was eclectically attractive and all the staff were very friendly.

A delightful little sandwich, soup, and salad restaurant tucked away in a little strip-mall that you could easily miss if you didn’t know it was there, but it would be a shame if you did. The women who are putting out the food obviously know what they are doing, and I’m not just talking about food, I’m talking about running a restaurant. Full of knowledge and enthusiasm, they are all about customer service and making sure you are happy with what they have made for you. Finding restaurants that offer a gluten free bread option are getting more and more prevalent, but are still few and far between. Again, customer service comes into play here. They didn’t have to fool around with keeping GF bread on hand or making GF cookies, but they choose to, and little things like that is why I will continue to choose them when in the area at lunch time.
