Went for lunch. The majority of meals were under six bucks. Worth going for a quick, sit down lunch. Chips and salsa are free, always a plus.

Always Great food and good service. The best salsa in NE Indiana… If you like it hot try the spicy salsa. Consistently good. We have made this at least a once a week dinner spot. Great value and authentic.

Went on a Monday nite, not busy at all. Promptly seated and greeted. Chips and salsa arrive, so far so good. Looking around inside of this place the décor is an odd mixture, booze advertising pasted everywhere including over the windows. Floors were unkept and dirty. Server’s pants were too long, grease soaked and tattered. Apps and drinks arrive and first basket of chips is gone. Other two servers are everywhere in the dining room, ours, no where. Now the Food is served. Hot and correctly. Good sized portions. Looks fine on the plate. But the server forgot our extra sides. And my pop is empty. Half way through the meal we wanted another side. No server to be found. Here comes the check and it was a reasonable price for the food we ate. At the register another employee asked if everything was all right. I said the food was good. They had no question about the service even after seeing the appropriate small tip I left. Will not be back.

Second time here. The inside of this restaurant is red and orange. Has nothing to do with the food but it really is. Ordered mixed fajitas and asked for chicken and chorizo(instead of chicken and steak). They sure know how to make chorizo here ! It was awesome. My flan desert came with caramel sauce and whipped cream: superb. All together a place I would recommend and on top of it all a friendly waitress and good service.

Love this place. Food is good. Salsa is perfect. It’s taken awhile for waitresses to get with it, but it’s better every time. I like the California burrito and another burrito that has steak, chicken and shrimp in it Worth a visit if you are in Columbia city

It is not the best I have ever had but for a small town like Columbia City it is an option that is worth checking out. I had the El Dorado fajitas and they were excellent. Lots of flavor and great mix of meats and shrimp. Portion size is correct and had enought to bring home for another meal. Place is very clean and bright. The free chips and salsa is made from canned tomatoes and has a mild flavor. Each got our own bowl and had two rounds before our meals arrived. Could be use a bit more heat but that can always be added in. All in all I will be back and I hope that this doesn’t go by the way of the last restaurant that was in this building.

Went there for fathers day meal. Just opened and the renovations made the place more inviting and brighter than previously. The praises stop there. Hard to believe that they consider this edible mexican food. The food was so bland, it tasted like it was prepared for a bus full of 85 year old grandmothers. The concepts of salt and spice were lost on them. Bad bland dishes all around. However the errors do not stop with the food. One offering listed a cheese sauce for a dollar more. However the waitress charged 3.50 for the tasteless bowl of cheese sauce. A order of their fajita’s with corn tortillas provided five small tortillas. A request for more tortilla’s resulted in an additional charge of 3 dollars for another five tortillas. Salsa for chips tasted like it was poured out of a gallon can from Sysco. No flavor, runny liquid. One would hope that the owners do not eat this poorly in their own private meals. A better choice would be Taco Bell. This place is the pits.
