US Post Office

Sent a certified letter from Colton to Colton on 11/​23/​2015, now it is in Moreno Valley 11/​24/​2015??? Why is their phone always off the hook! Get your s*** straight USPS! I have better luck with FED-​EX.

I brought a very small box in to send priority mail back east. I asked the clerk if she could tape the top. She said she couldn’t. I told her every other time I’ve come to the Post Office they are more than happy to tape it. She replied, «Well, have you ever been to this Post Office before?» I don’t know it is Colton or all post offices, but she wanted to charge me $ 3.50 and sell me a tiny roll of tape to cover the six inch box cover. If this policy came from higher up, shame on them. If this lady was just being rude, then shame on her. You would think it would behoove them to be polite and friendly. I guess being under the government umbrella gives them a different sense of entitlement. They lose billions a year that tax payers have to make up the difference. Can’t even give me a piece of tape? Our subisidising doesn’t at least entitle us to a piece of tape?

This isn’t 1 of the grandest post offices around but it is clean and functional. Parking on the street is readily available but the parking lot itself is rather small. I’m usually in and out of there in minutes. I suspect hardly anyone stops by or it could be that I’ve been incredibly lucky.
