Don’t get me wrong this is a great place to eat, but the service is so slow. They also Close on Sundays at 4pm not at 5pm. I came to eat at Maria’s café at 4pm on 2.28.16 and they told me and my family that they were closed??? That’s not what there sign said. I don’t know if we will be coming back.

Just moved in the area and WOW. I checked out the reviews and it was as good as they said. This is my new favorite place now. Been there for dinner several times and today I tried there breakfast it was awesome. I recommend this place to everyone.

Love this place. I came in on a busy night and I watched customers being total jerks. From the waitress the the cashier they were al very classy. Some people are such duchess
Wow they really need more help on Sunday morning. We walked in and stood for 10 minutes never even got a we will be right with you or anything. We walked out.
Sadly we eat here once a week and live down the street from one of the owners.

This place has terrible service, and very NON-​authentic Mexican Food. Also, when one tries to make take out orders they do not answer the phone or if they do answer they hang up on you. So much for giving this place a second shot. Not worth it, don’t waste your time.

My patient and I came here for lunch after running errands. It was during lunch hour so the line was almost out the door! The food is cheap but great quality and quantity as well. I for a shrimp burrito and it was great!

Shits bomb. Fuck what ya heard! Chicken soup and Pozole will cure any illness. Burritos are on point. If you don’t like this place, don’t come back, the lines are long enough as it is! 9am-​1 it’s busy as all hell, 1-​close is the same. Don’t like to wait for the best meal you ever had? Go somewhere else. Haters gonna hate and everyone else eats at Maria’s Café. Gimme dat cabbage salsa with a side of chips!

I read the reviews and thought I should give it a try. I ordered the «cocido» or caldo de res” beef stew. Instead I got an old bitter soup, the vegetables were rubbery exterior and semi frozen inside. This means the caldo/​soup was old and frozen. I shared it with grandma and unfortunately I fed her that junk. When I tasted the soup I instantly got a sharp headache which means… food poisoning. I immediately headed back to the restaurant and returned the poison. They offered me another dish or money back? I got my refund. The end. Will not go back and I don’t recommend this restaurant.

Was sooo good. Can’t wait to go back! The margaritas was so good the carne asada burrito to kill for. and super huge more then one person to eat it for sure and still will have left overs

Good food, but slow service. This place is always packed when I go in. I love their burritos and chili relleno and although I haven’t yet tried it, I hear their soup is delicious and perfect for a cold day or when you’re feeling sick. They don’t use lard to cook their beans, etc.

Waiting for tire service next door and popped in to get out of the wind. Wow, not only was the place popping but we can tell how awesome the food is by the nachos supreme we ordered. Coming back for sure! … With the fam!

If you don’t mind waiting 30 min for a water another 15 to order and 30 more min to get your food, good luck getting them to come back for the check
I’d like to say that it’s a one time occurrence but sadly no! It’s consistently takes 2 hours min from the time I walk in the door till the time I leave
I don’t like playing the race card however I have consistently gotten horrible service while the Hispanic people at another table get quick service

Worst customer service.
Called into place 4 different orders and I requested total amt on each order. The lady on the phone yelled at me in a snobby way telling me «ugh!!! EACH ORDER???» And heard her calling someone else to complaint about while I was still on the phone. Made me feel uncomfortable. Very unprofessional and rude.

The service has GREATLY improved. They have worked on improving and it shows. The food has always been 5 stars. Now I upgrade my rating to the highest.

Went back. CROWDED zoo of EXCELLENT service BAD. But we go for food. Sometimes service is great, but expect it to not be. May get a surprise.

Food is very good salsa as well. The people that seat you are dumb though. No order on how to seat the customers. Service is to a crawl. So slow!!! I don’t understand why. People have to constantly flag down a waiter or waitress just to get there attention, or have to get out of there seat to get a to go bag or a simple refill. The food is very good service is very slow and inattentive to the customers. If you are looking to have lunch on a scheduled time limit, don’t bother coming here. Total time from entrance to exit 1hour 20 minutes!!! Ridiculous.

I have been here two times over the last week. Both times my food was good but the wait times were horrible and the table side service was non existent.
I have been eating at this place for at least a decade. I really like the food here. They have really great chips and salsa, they have a very unique cabbage salsa that is awesome. I love going here for Mexican breakfast.
My favorite dish is heuvos rancheros with chili verde. They always do a great job preparing this dish to my liking. I just wish that the service was better!
The last couple times I was there I felt like I was treated like I was a leper. The servers that I had did not have any sense of urgency whatsoever about taking our order or getting us our food even though it looked like it was the busiest time of day. When we walked in I saw my friend so we sat down with him and talked for 45 minutes while he waited for them to bring him his breakfast burrito that he ordered before we came in the restaurant! I was like, dang!
Those of us who are familiar with the place know to give yourself an extra few minutes but it was never this bad before. I sat there thinking to myself who does a guy have to know to get some decent service around here, I’d bet POWs in prison camps get food quicker than I did! When I’m in a restaurant for more than one hour I expect more than one refill on my Ice-​T!
I hope that they can get the server situation worked out because I like this restaurant! I like their food and I want to keep going here but I just can’t stand getting bad customer service when I go to a sitdown restaurant to eat!

NEVER EVER COMING BACK HERE .THE OWNER is a very grouchy witch, she has horrible customer service manners absolutely no etiquette only because my husband and I weren’t wearing the best attire. The owner brought out chips and salsa after a 10 minute wait and she didn’t even ask to take our drink order wtf, so unorganized the waiters don’t have assigned tables they just walk about randomly not knowing who came in first who’s gotten their order taken down nothing just an absolute unorganized mess. The food was very mediocre nothing great, or even good it baffles my mind how in the heck they have 4 stars, like everyone here is stating. THE CROWD HERE IS ALL OLD TIMERS WHICH AS YOU ALL KNOW DONT HAVE A VERY KEEN TASTE PALETTE THAT IS WHAT THIS RESTAURANTS KEY CLIENTELE TRAFFIC CONSISTS OF. MY husband had a red burrito when we asked her the owner regarding the meat in the burrito she said oh it’s pork and were like ok we can’t have pork is there any way you guys can do it with a different meat she straight up answered NO THATS WHY I TOLD YOU IT HAS PORK in a very rude tone while rolling her eyes. If you want to be treated like scum of the earth this is the place for you any race other than white gets treated like crap, if you are white you will be treated great here so walk on in. We literally sat waiting for food for over 30 minutes and it wasn’t even packed when we got there, literally so unorganized this female has absolutely no table side manners obviously setting a precedence for her staff.
Just to be clear this place is NOT UNDERSTAFFED THERE IS 5 waiters including the owner, and roughly about 21 tables. The waiters all run around like a chicken with its head cut off, unorganized circus.

My wife and I have been coming here since 2009. (We were there before they doubled the seating capacity).
First off, there is sometimes a long-​ish wait. If you catch them at a good time, you can be seated and snacking on chips/​salsa within a few minutes. But more often than not, you’ll have to wait to sit down. And when you do finally get a seat, it will take a while to order. And when you do finally order, the food will take a bit.
But.
It’s worth it.
They have great food. Why do you think they’re always so packed?
It’s not that their service is bad. No – on the contrary – they are all super nice. It’s just that they are super busy, and oftentimes, they are shorthanded.
If you live in Loma Linda/​Colton, this is the place to go for a sit-​down Mexican-​food experience.

Slow service. After 30 minutes of sitting down no one took our order. The chips and salsa were done and then saw 2 other families leave because of the same reason. No service and no one taking their orders. We left also.
Will not come here again.
I walked up to pay the horchata that my daughter got. He asked if that was all I said yes and leaving because no took our order and he just said ok and looked upset because we were leaving.

Nice atmosphere and delicious food. After you’re seated you are served chips, salsa, and cabbage salsa. I ordered a Mango Margarita before my meal (yum). My order consisted of Chile Relleno, Chicken Enchilada, Rice and Beans. All very tasty but the salsas were a bit spicy. I never had cabbage salsa before. It must be their special recipe.
Seemed like a family owned restaurant. The booth chairs in the restaurant had a picturesque upholstery, each with different designs of mexican art. Very cool and nice vibe.
