Taste of Philly

They had 5 stars… Until today… We moved here a month or so ago, and LOVE their sandwiches. Best Philly’s in C. Springs, in our opinions the meat could be a little more seasoned, as others have stated, but overall we eat here about once a week.
Today we had the worst experience with the Dublin store though. We ordered delivery, and when we received them their was a mistake on a few of he sandwiches. When I called the store and reported the problem, I was put on hold, when the girl returned she reported that although they made the mistakes, there was nothing they could do about it. I was mind blown. What kind of customer service is that? I asked to speak to a manager, and she reported that she was the manager. She is also the person who took the order incorrectly, as well as named my account Elizabeth Barbara, no wonder she couldn’t find my account… Who is Elizabeth Barbara? I also spelled my name for her twice… Seeing a pattern yet? Frustrated and feeling disrespected and dis-​valued, I called the store on Academy.
The Academy store was awesome, as they have been when we visit them in person. They are having the Dublin store fix the order and re-​deliver, but the incident has definitely left a sour taste in my mouth regarding the customer service training and supervision of employees within this business.

Being from Philly (lived there for 38 years), I know what a real Philly cheese steak should taste like. This place is no Genos or Pats but for Colorado Springs its as close as it gets. Best in town by far. I usually get mine with provolone, onions and peppers. Yum! You won’t be disappointed.

Love this place. I’m from Boston and used to Steak & Cheese from D’Angelos (chain). I’m not saying that’s the way steak and cheese SHOULD taste, just that it’s the way I like it. So moving to COS was made easier finding I can still enjoy a steak & cheese sub just the way I expect it to taste. Good quality meat, lots of melty cheese & a Toasty bun. Wish I had one right now!

Living in New Jersey for a few [terrible, awful] years allows me the authority to determine whether this is close to being a ‘real’ Philly or not. And it’s close. Very close.
I tried to emulate the ‘regular’ Philly I used to get on the east coast. On this menu, that translated to a Pepper Philly with provolone and cheeze wiz. The bread is spot on, the veggies are sautéed with the meat as they should be, but the meat is just not quite there. It’s missing something — worcestershire? salt? just seasoning in general.
The eats here will fill you up at a very reasonable price, but it’s reminiscent of food I’d order at 2am or for a very late hangover lunch. The side dishes are very much an afterthought. I’d call you a liar if you told me the coleslaw or potato salad weren’t storebought. The fries are underseasoned and boring.
I dunno man, I wanted to like this place a whole lot more. It just doesn’t earn any more than 3.5 stars.

Food is always good. However their take out process kinda stinks. You order, they tell you to be there in 20 minutes then you wait another 5 after paying for them to get fresh fries. I’m all for hot, not soggy fries but really!!! You food just sits in the window and gets cold while you wait for hot fries.
The food is good, but your fries are going to be cold no matter what when you’re driving home in 20 degree weather. Bad planning on their part… IMHO

I’m not what you would consider a «Philly fan», but Dave C., well he really is. At first, I was just along for the ride, but now. now I get it. The mouth watering combinations of Philly cheese steak that you can order here are just divine. You can get all different kinds of cheeses, different toppings, you can even get one smothered in green chili if you’re feeling froggy. If a cheese steak isn’t on your agenda (and why wouldn’t it be?), they have all different kinds of grinders and subs to choose from so you’ll have plenty of options. We’ve gotten ‘em to go and we’ve eaten there — it’s a standard dine-​in experience with plenty of seating and quick service. Always delicious.

This location almost always gets it right. The food is usually delicious and correct. I have gotten a sandwich or 2 with half the typical amount of meat, but the only happens with the cold sandwiches. The onion rings are always great but overpriced. I mean, 5 dollars for 10 onion rings? C’mon. I stopped ordering the fries and the chicken fingers because they always taste like they were fried in scorched oil. I love that they deliver and if you don’t order during peak hours and order cold sandwiches, it usually arrives in about 20 minutes.

If you are in the mood for a philly cheese steak this is the place for you. Reasonably priced, good taste, nice variety, and great service.

Taste of Philly is a solid 3.5 stars; their bread is top notch, the cheese is right on, but they chop their meat slight too small and don’t use enough Worcestershire sauce in the meat. I really enjoyed my sandwich here and will definitely return. They employees are friendly and accommodating, though they did mess up my child’s order, but it all worked out in the end.

I’ve never had a bad meal here. This place is always on point. Be prepared, it can take a while to get your food. But it’s worth it! Their stuffed mushrooms are killer and their sandwiches are always fabulous. I always get the same thing because it’s always delicious. I highly recommend this place. It’s worth it!

Great Mushroom Philly! I add lettuce, tomato, and mayo on mine. It is sooo good! My 3 year old likes the grilled ham and cheese. She will eat the whole thing. (I usually have such a hard time getting her to eat at all.)
But horrible phone service. I called in a delivery order. They’re just not very professional on the phone at all. But the food is good. And they delivered it pretty quickly. I’d order again, and again…

Excellent steaks!!! Good service. Generous portions. I eat here as often as I can. The quality of the food is superb! Be prepared to be full of good food when your done.

Excellent, had several items tonight for family of four. Loved it all. We will be back.

I actually love this place. It looks like a little hole in the wall place from the outside but it’s good! I always get the chicken Caesar wrap, which is delicious, and my husband gets the Philly cheesesteak, which I’ve had a bite of and its pretty good. Plus if you don’t feel like going out they DELIVER! Never disappointed with this place!

I have eaten at several taste of Philly restaurants through the years. In fact I used to have a slight addiction! But, everytime I order from this particular location, I am left dissatisfied. Big chunks of meat that may have come from a science experiment. Soggy bread. And a terrible stomach ache. Smh

These guys do a great job. I have been coming here consistently for the last couple of years. They are always fast and friendly. While they have other items on the menu, I only get the Philly. They have a chicken philly which is very tasty, shaved chicken just like a beef philly. Lots of topping choices. My wife normally gets hers with mushrooms and jalapeños.

They DELIVER! This place is a nice change of pace from the normal pizza delivery. If they only delivered I would give them two maybe three stars but the food earned those five stars. Disclaimer, I can only vouch for the sandwiches nothing else. Full size is very big, I have to earn that size. I only eat those on workout days. I just said that. This is a definite try for watching the game at home with nothing to eat.

Really great service and the green chile cheesesteak was enough to split — will definitely be back
