Service here is average for Starbuck’s. Seating here is a premium because there are many homeless people that frequent this particular location, especially when it’s cold outside. I often have to remind myself that there’s another Starbucks just two blocks south that has ample seating and a more comfortable seating area, but since this one is so close to my favorite boutique in the Springs, I come here because of the convenience. Parking is a challenge, as mentioned by one of the earlier reviews.

Not a bad Starbucks if you want to step over plastic bags, backpacks and sleeping rolls of the homeless and you enjoy the glare of people who are in dire need of a bath, shave and perhaps even a dose of methadone. Many other Starbucks that you don’t have to put up with the downtown homeless.

For how busy this location is, they crank up the heat and serve the java up hot and fast. Service is friendly, if on the short side(understandable), and that they pack in the coffee bar, merchandise, indoor AND outdoor seating into such a small space made me doubt the nature of physics. The noise level couldn’t be helped due the location(Tejon and Bijou should be renamed Cacaphonytown USA), and the interior had an turn-of-the-century feel(other century, kids) that is going to require more polishing than it’s getting. Given that it’s next to one of my favorite comic book stores in Colorado means I’ll be back!

I sauntered in one evening close to closing time and needed lots and lots of coffee for a party we were hosting. I ordered the 92oz Traveler. More if possible. 2 great baristas came to my rescue. I can’t remember their names but I remember 1 was a new transfer from TX and the other was a musician and both had read Howard Schultz’s book. They live and breathe Starbucks. The guys who were working that night were kind enough to brew another pot, stay later and when they filled the traveler the lid was missing so they filled up another pot and then help me carry the pot to the party. My heroes! I was so grateful. Every once in a while, great service happens and I’m so happy I get to give 5 stars to a Starbucks.

I’ve always appreciated the friendly service at this über busy Starbucks. It is located right on the corner of Bijou and Tejon so it gets a ton of foot traffic. It was recently remodeled and had a classic early 1900’s feel. It’s really awesome. Of course Starbucks coffee is Starbucks coffee, so nothing too special. But you can count on consistency.

There are TWO Starbucks locations on Tejon Street, just a few blocks apart. This is the NORTH location. This location is right off Bijou, so it’s near a very busy intersection with lots of people going in and out of the store frequently. It can be pretty loud. The window faces east, so it gets pretty hot and bright during the morning. It’s better to go during the afternoon.
