Sick Puppy Saloon

Great DJ on the Saturday night that I went there! Awesome venue, but the DJ really killed his set. He’s got some talent, I think his name was DJ Rain. Played great electronic music and trap. Had a couple beers and my whole group got super into dancing. More people need to come here, seriously it’s a great time.

I have been here twice on a Thursday night. I would have liked to see more people out there but the crowd on the first night was lively enough. The club is very nicely decorated and plush. The music is between hip hop, electronic, trap, dance and dub step on Thursday night.
I often wonder what happens in this club on the nights I am not here as it has been empty the two times I have been here. There are a lot of custom decorations in the club but I still have to wonder. does this really make any sense?
There is a DJ podium that states Sick Puppy Saloon a Rock n Roll Revolution? There is a back bar that is always dark… just waiting to be lit up. The bathrooms are very basic compared to the rest of the club. The location is on the east out skirts of town. I am told it used to be an old gentlemen’s club. There are still remnants of this inside as there are small glass enclosed «party» rooms. There are hardly any people in the place? Is this because people don’t know it’s out here? Possibly bad blood between past owners?
I thought about Vegas when I walked in. I can see this place packed and pumping hard but when will that happen? This is a very nice club and when you come here you should dress appropriately Colorado Springs. Dress to impress because this is a place to show off!

This place used to be a strip club but lost its license so they turned it into a nightclub. Apparently it takes far less talent to run a decent strip club than it does to have a top notch nightclub. A group of six of us went out and one of the guys from our squad wanted to check it out since he heard it was a suppose to be really nice.
The place itself is almost cool, though if you ever went when it was Pt’s it looks pretty much the same just with better lights and sound. Not sure what about it is suppose to be so hip. Looks like a typical small town nightclub. They had these huge really nice led screens that could have been doing something amazing but instead they were using them as cheesy billboards for some liquor company. Like something from a state fair. Not trying to be a snob but this place is nothing special inside. If it were in a bigger town no one would even look twice at it.
The vibe is exactly what you would expect from a group of strip club owners from the 70’s. Total identity crisis. We thought it was a rock club as their motto so proudly proclaimed, but the dj had no idea what to play and bounced around from country to songs from way before any of us were born. It was midnight on a Saturday and there could not have been more than 50 people in the place, a total waste of time. The must have kept the same bartenders from when they were a strip club as the drinks are seriously week!
All in all save yourself the journey and skip this place you wont be missing anything. If you are looking for people/​girls hit tejon street, or if you are looking for really cool clubs drive up to Denver.

What a beautiful and comfortable nightclub, but I was very disappointed when my margarita on the rocks came. I was reassured twice that it was a margarita but I couldn’t taste any lime nor tequila so I sent it back and ordered a shot of Capt Morgan to sip on. When it came it was watered down and I reluctantly drank it. After that, I decide I would not order anything else to drink. :(
50% of the servers were on top of it and always on the look out to help the customers, the others where more interested talking in the back or heading outside for a smoke break.
There was only about 20 to 30 people in the place, hopeful they can correct these issues before this beautiful club has to close its doors.

How disappointing my birthday night was at this place! First off, it was a Friday night, got there early at like 8pm to start drinking and beat the crowd. We were the only big group there, and all the DJ kept playing was lame music and way too much country mixed in. We asked him numerous times to play better music, and all he kept saying was «we don’t play that type of music until after midnight.» Absolutely ridiculous. This place needs to do a better job catering to their paying clientele. My group disbursed early due to the lame 60’s, 70’s music this guy was playing. All we wanted to do was dance to good music. All I was asking for was 80’s and 90’s music just to not ask for too much. I would have loved to hear actual dance/​techno music but I didn’t even bother trying. What’s the big deal to play good music before midnight? I do not understand. This place is not that well known yet or cool enough to be that ignorant to it’s guests. My whole group had never been here before, and all of them said they wouldn’t come back.
