My daughters and I used to LOVE going here, before it got sold to new owners. At first I was a little hesitant going back but we missed our coney dogs so we went. We had bought some gift certificates online and were told that even though they were not expired they were no longer honoring them, ok no big deal but when the waitress told the owner he didn’t even bother to come to our table and say sorry for the inconvenience or anything(by the way we were the only customers there). We ordered the coney fries and the dogs, the chili was so-so, not as tasty as before and the fries were over cooked. The waitress was nice but I had to keep getting up to ask for things like napkins and the check(again we were the only people eating) I miss the old owners and I really doubt I will go back, the food was not worth the price in my opinion.

Location: It wasn’t obvious to find being tucked away in a commercial strip. They changed their name to Rock City Café so that was a little confusing and the name really should be updated on Unilocal. Food(most important): Really damn good. I haven’t had«sliders,» which are little hamburgers grilled on a bed of onions, in a long time. Not since I lived back east I haven’t been able to find something like«White Castle» or «Krystal» in Colorado Springs until now. The sliders here are even better. There’s just something unique and really good about a tiny steamy hamburger with caramelized onion and pickle. I also had the«coney» or chili dog. The quality of the dog was really good too which seems to be natural casing with the chili sauce really flavorful and something you normally don’t find in Colorado Springs like you did everywhere back home. The taste of chili matches well with the sliders, and fries I also got which are hand made and cooked to order. All in all, I am a big fan and soon to be repeat customer. Thanks for bringing this to Colorado Springs.

Great food and friendly service. The coney dogs were larger than expected and we left full. Will definitely be back again.

Ate here for lunch with three friends. Amongst the 4 of us we had sliders of variable sizes, coneys, onion rings and fries. Pros: sliders were quite tasty. POW style adds some bacon and I think grilled onions and this was fabulous. Fries were good but not great — crinkled style. Onion rings were delicious and we all liked the chipotle ranch dipping sauce. Cons: a little pricey for a quick bite. If you want a drink, there are only bottled drinks for $ 2. I had a quad(posted picture) which isn’t huge, onion rings and a drink and it was over $ 10. According to my friend, the coney sauce was bland/average. Overall, the slider was so tasty that I would go back. Recommend the quad with cheese POW style with onion rings and chipotle ranch sauce. Really nice people who work there that checked up on us multiple times.

Tucked away off of Boulder & Union across the street from the Olympic Training Center in the same plaza as Yellow King is a tasty new spot with Detroit on it’s mind. The owner is super laid back and is a native to Detroit as well. The atmosphere was spot on with good tunes buzzing, as I expected it to be. A great addition would be Asteroid the old school arcade game, pay & play style ;). We’ll be back next Monday with the kiddos to see what they think. Definitely great comfort food status and stays tasty and genuine. It’s not a bad addition for a chill dinner with the family. A tasty spot through & through!

This was my second time here, I enjoy eating here. The food is fresh, both french fries and onion rings are good if not special. The sliders are better than fast food, the Dogs look good but haven’t tried them yet. At their reasonable prices I certainly will be back to try more of their menu. If you are looking for good burgers I don’t think you can go wrong here.

Detroiter here! Was so excited when I saw this on Unilocal as a local restaurant! Coneys are one of the things I miss about Michigan. Food was awesome! I had the double slider, they were correct, that is the perfect bun to meat ratio! Coneys looked amazing! Chili fries were good, best I have had here… They have Faygo & Vernors. If you are from MI you understand how cool that is, if not stop in try the Rock and Rye, nothing like it. Only reason I didn’t give this place 5 stars is that I love National chili sauce for my fries… Their chili sauce is good, and I will definately be back to indulge, just couldn’t do the Wahoo as good as it gets! Super happy to have a Coney in Colorado! Check it out you won’t be disappointed. The people working there are Awesome, they made the experience really fun. Great food, lots of laughter!

This place was awesome! Great food, at a great price. Couldn’t beat it!!! Even loved the fact that I could get a Rock’n’Rye! Loved the service, and even the owner went around to all the tables to make sure everyone was happy!!! It’s definitely a daytime go to! I don’t think I could go at night though… Seems like there going for the Detroit feel putting it in a run down part of town! If that’s what it takes to keep prices low, I’m all for it!!!
