Bad Service… Arrived one morning just as they opened(weekday). After we ordered we went outside to sit at one of their tables. A few other customers arrived and ordered as we continued to wait for our Pitas. It wasn’t till quite a bit later that we noticed our order had been ready and was sitting on the counter next to the cashier. Neither the cashier(male) nor the waitress said anything to us. The cashier was standing there next to our order looking bored. The ordering process was disappointing. The staff should all be required to eat at Chipotle/Qdoba where they have a similar ‘assembly’ line for adding condiments to your main entrée. After asking us what meat, the order taker moved to the next station and instead of guiding us thru the choices they simply stared at us and said nothing. It was like neither employee wanted to work there. And finally… the pita was difficult to eat. They fill the pita then roll it up like a burrito which breaks/cracks the pita(try it sometime). If the pita was warm and fresh it might have worked but ours were cold and the pita bread broke open making it impossible to eat w/o using a utinsel. I don’t think that’s what Pita Pit had in mind.

I don’t dig it. It’s about ten bucks for a pita, chips n drink and I’m just not impressed. I’d rather go to WhichWhich or Subway or Firehouse etc. so ya.

Good stuff and large servings too. My only knock is the protein to veggie ratio, more meat please.

This is my first time at this place. The food is actually pretty good and a lot healthier than a burger. Not a place id recommend if you are in a hurry. There were only two customers in front of me and it still took a pretty long time to get my food. It wasn’t the employees fault, they were working hard and very nice. I think the process just isn’t very efficient. The place is also pretty small, only about 5 tables. They do have student and military discounts.

I just moved here and have been living out of a hotel until I can find a place to live. Long story short we have been eating out a lot and this was one meal that filled me up and left me content and without a gut bomb. Also the staff had great recommendations.

Their food is delicious and abundant. However the place seems dirty and their staff forget to take their gloves off to do other activities. They just go back to grab topping with the same gloves that the used for everything else. This had happened almost every time that I go there.

I love the Pita Pit. I usually don’t try new things, but my wife insisted I go to Pita Pit with her. This is the only place I go for lunch now. I get the Gyro with hummus, veggies and lots of zatziki sauce. It is so much healthier than eating burgers. The staff is friendly and the store is always clean. They are also very generous with the portions.

I’ve always liked the Pita Pit since I went there on the west side of town. One thing to keep in mind is that they have a ton of different choices so it’s easy to overdo the options giving the sandwich too many conflicting flavors. My recommendation is to keep it somewhat simple. I like the Chicken Crave and the Dagwood but most everything is good. They aren’t too bad for you and it comes down to toppings again as you can go overboard. I did the chicken crave with lettuce, artichokes, jalapeños, and black olives with a habanero mango sauce today. It wasn’t too spicy for having habanero sauce but it was still good. I would recommend this place as they are fair priced, a sandwich is filling, and you can tweak the flavor to your likes. They had a really good spicy Pita for awhile but I haven’t seen it in months.

This is a new location that replaced the one on Garden of the Gods Road. It’s a small location that only has a few(~5) tables. The choices on the menu are about the same as before but the toppings seem better. They have avocado, hummus, artichoke hearts and lots of other fresh toppings for your pita. You can have as many as you like. This a great choice for quick, healthy-ish, lunch. They also have a breakfast menu but I have not tried that yet.
