I have been coming to this place for a few months now. I am geared more towards the weight-loss side of the business then the chiropractic side. I have gotten to know the staff very well and have nothing but good things to say about them. They are willing to work with you and squeeze you in when you need it. I felt no pressure whatsoever in having to buy anything. I did it for me and my personal reasons. Very happy I did, as it has helped me transform my life in a positive way. I would recommend this to anyone with backing it 200%. I only gave this a 3 star rating because of the hours of operation. I live on the south side of town and it would be helpful to not have to leave work early to make it here during the times they are open.

What a colossal waste of time. When I first walked into McCarthy Chiropractic Center it seemed like a professional, well-appointed health-focused fitness office. I was given paperwork to fill out and upon completion I was ushered through the main room to a small room in the back. The receptionist started a Dr. Oz weight loss video that I promptly turned off(I came for chiropractic work, not to watch Dr. Oz talk about weight loss). The receptionist returned about 10 minutes later with a huge testimonial book with dozens of gushing, drooling letters telling Dr. McCarthy how wonderful he is. I quickly put the book down as I’m not interested in being sold on a business before I’ve been able to experience it first hand, particularly if it’s the business itself that’s doing the selling. Twenty minutes later Dr. McCarthy strolled in and asked me what I was there for. I told him and he had me lay face down on the treatment table. His examination took all of thirty seconds. He then tried to sell me a multiple-visit package. I declined. He then lead me up to the front desk where I was asked to pay for the visit before the adjustment. While I thought this was a little weird, I went along with it as I was in desperate need of relief. Dr. McCarthy came back a few minutes later and had me lay down on a different treatment table. He performed one adjustment on the wrong side of my back and that was it. I ended up waiting around for roughly 45 minutes and the«treatment» took all of two minutes total. $ 60. When I mentioned to Dr. McCarthy that he adjusted the wrong side of my back he just said, «These things take time and multiple visits», clearly re-pushing his multi-visit package. I declined again and began to leave. On the way out the door the receptionist, who was on the phone, asked me if I’d like to sign up for a return visit. I declined and she immediately said, «He said no.» into the phone. Sketchy. The entire visit reeked of a «professional» who’s main focus is money. While I don’t begrudge anyone making a living, it was so blatant as to make the visit very uncomfortable. It was clear throughout the visit that the success or failure of the treatment was an afterthought and the main goal was hooking the client into a multiple-visit contract. Avoid this place like the proverbial plague.
