In case you’re thinking of joining, my family likes LDP(that’s what those in the know call it, you see). They get to spend each day there during the summer while I’m slaving away in the salt mines to pay for their lavish lifestyle. Highlights: It’s not too expensive($ 500 for new members, $ 400 to renew). It’s very laid back. Lifeguards are friendly and helpful. Membership includes the use of grills. Swim lessons are inexpensive($ 25 for the first kid; $ 20 for each additonal for a two-week session). Member events(family night where the pool is open until 10 p.m., teen night, kids night). You can host a private party after pool hours for somewhere in the range of $ 30. One downside is the pool usually closes at 7 on weekdays and 6 on weekends. But when you have small children who never want to get out of the pool, this can be a plus.
