Was in the area and we enjoyed the diverse collection of hooked on books! They have two locations and we actually went to both! We had so much fun at the first one and really found some collectors treasures so then we ended up going to the downtown location.
This shop is a must for book collectors, book lovers and treasure hunters. The staff was friendly and helpful too.
Really love the painted windows and other details that the shop has. Next time we come to Colorado Springs we will be coming here again.

Wonderful little place. Friendly staff. Was looking for books on leadership but scored with some used Ms. Marvel graphic novels. I will defiantly come back during my stay.

There are TONS of books just crammed into this labyrinthine space, and the staff are knowledgeable and very cool. I found a lot of texts on what I was looking for but they were uniformly overpriced, averaging 25−30% over what I’d expect to pay for the items used, to say nothing of what can be found online. I’d definitely come back, but only if I had no cheaper alternative, and this place deserves far far better.

I love this bookstore! This is one of the best used bookstores in the area and their selection is huge. They have every subject you can imagine and a great selection of rare and signed books. I love hard backs and first editions and I always find a treasure when I shop here. The staff is always very helpful and nice!

Hands down, Colorado Springs best bookstore. Extensive stock, and what they don’t have, they can get. Nice location, plenty of parking. And best of all, knowledgeable, helpful and friendly staff. I have been going to this fine establishment since I got here in 1997, and they have never disappointed. They are patient and tenacious when researching a book for me, they are very kind and sweet to my 8-​year old son. And now they even have coffee! What more could you ask for.
If you are in the neighborhood, stop by and browse. You’ll be grateful you did.

Best used book store I’ve been to– period. They have aisles upon aisles of good quality used books (new books too) and they give you a good deal for trade ins. All books are very reasonably priced and they are so friendly and kind. They remember your name and are really sweet to our daughter when we go, they give her toys and extra goodies. Love this place!

This is my Happy Place. The sci-​fi section is top-​notch, and the general fiction selection is just absurd. I’ve always had really good luck finding whatever I was looking for here, and even for cash-​only books, the prices are pretty reasonable.. There’s a reason why I’ve been a regular here for 30 years. Hooked on books, indeed.
Oh, it’s a labyrinth too. Good luck.

Hooked on Books has been one of my favorite bookstores in the city since I was a teenager!
The first thing you’ll notice when you walk in is that these people truly love books! The place is a veritable MAZE of books! They are stacked up to the ceiling in some places, which gives the whole store a very cozy atmosphere! You feel like you could just sit down and fall right into a good story!
As for the staff, they are very knowledgeable and as courteous as can be! They are more than willing answer any questions, or just to engage in fun conversation. For me, service is always key to a place I visit, so knowing that I can expect kindness and friendliness here is a great comfort.
Also, the books are reasonably priced, with a great selection of new and used titles available.

This is the first place I go when I’m looking for a book. I’ve had really good luck finding all sorts of cookbooks and paperbacks here. We save a ton of money buying used, which is a bonus when the high school reading lists come out every year.
