This place is great! For someone who loves DIY projects this place is perfect. They always have something you can use. There is usually someone around who can answer some general questions and the lady at the register always has a smile when you ask her for a little help. They sometimes have donuts and coffee if you feel peckish but please be nice and leave a donation. I wish my husband had more patience for my projects because I would buy so much more stuff. They have three of those car carts that kids love sitting in so do not worry about bringing the kids. Just yesterday I spent about $ 36 on stuff that would have cost me close to $ 100 at any of the large box stores.

love this place for getting cheap, gently re-used materials. they may not have everything you need, but they will likely have something you can use. Stuff is a bit eclectic and you never know what you might find, so its good to go in on a semi-regular basis to see what they have. They use lots of volunteer help, so if you need technical help, find a full time employee.

As a homeowner, it’s almost impossible to not have some kind of account with Home Depot or Lowe’s for your various projects. But if you want to save money, I recommend you check out this place first, to see what you can pick up at a fraction of the cost of retail. There are all sorts of things from unused paint and supplies, flooring, light fixtures, electrical items, doors, cabinets, trim, piping, granite countertops, lawn supplies, cleaning supplies, etc. And not everything is used. There’s always a bunch of unused, new items that were simply surplus for whatever projects those who donated didn’t need.
