My wife and I love this brewery, wish we found out about it earlier! The beer is hands-down the best beer in Colorado Springs right now. The beer is great, the staff is great, and the rotating food trucks are affordable and delicious. If you’re looking for a place that does more than just the«standard» brewery beers, then this place is it. Our favorite beer there is the Evolution ale… which changes slightly every time they brew it with ingredients that get voted on by their customers… this is a must try! We haven’t had a beer here that we didn’t like, you can’t go wrong… get a flight(or two) and spend the rest of the day trying to figure out your favorite.

@FossilCraftBeer Since April 2013, Fossil Brewing has been crafting beer in Colorado Springs. A community-centric microbrewery, they have 8 taps. The Stone Age Milk Stout had a nice sweetness. It was full bodied dark roasted malty oaty good. So good that left with a Boston Round full of it, and, since it was Thursday, the tiny growler fill was discounted. Score! The small establishment had fossil specimens on the walls. At opening time there were people waiting outside for the doors to open. A nice place. Find it. You’ll be glad you did.

Small Craft Beer Company opened recently — well worth your time and money if you want to taste excellence in small batch brewing in a small, out of the way location. Superb selection of many different types of beer — my favorite was the Porter, perfect for a February Day. The IPA was also noteworthy. What is probably most impressive was how friendly and nice the bartender was, offering helpful advice and knowledge of their beers. Best wishes to Fossil Craft Brewing — you have so much potential and thanks for reminding us what high quality beer tastes like.

One of my favorite brewerys in town. I love that they push the envelope and have creative beers on tap. Favorites include: evolution ale, kunda porter and Radiantly Raw chai brown ale.

Hate to sling three stars their way, but it’s hard to justify much more after this visit. And to be fair it all comes down to the brews on tap. Don’t get me wrong, service and vibes were very solid; good people for sure. They rotate foods trucks on the weekend and Rudy’s is right next door, so food is on point. I’ve also had their pours at the All Colorado Beer Fest and was excited at the new talent in the Springs after sampling. But my most recent trip was just disappointing. We grabbed a fight of everything on tap. Oxford Clay, Evolution Ale: Gen. 3, Mammoth IPA, Stone Age Stout, Sabertooth IPA, and Tyrannosaurus Red. Some ambition, but unfortunately each of the six didn’t rate as any more than average. I’ll be back when new taps are on rotation, because I like what I had previously, but it may be a bit.

Love this local brewery. Beer is always changing and unique. Love the homemade ginger ale. Food truck fare is always good. Nice new patio. Welcoming atmosphere for kids and dogs. I haven’t been able to male it to one of their Red Rock hiking/biking events(they are right next door to the park), but hope to soon. Pros: Unique, rotating beer menu; comfortable seating inside and out. Welcoming for kids and dogs. Cons: Can’t think of any.

Small local brewery: check Great tasting beers: check Fun atmosphere and friendly employees: check Affordable price: check I’ve been trying a bunch of breweries in Colorado Springs and this one is my favorite so far. I liked all of the beers in their flight especially their cream ale and Evolution Ale. Plus they have weekly science talks and hikes :)

Hasher owned bar! Best cream ale to ever hit my lips. Their prices are better than a lot of the other breweries in the area too. No food, just craft beer and soda. They are currently building outdoor seating, totally looking forward to that. On-On, –Dog

This place was recommended to us by another brewery so we popped in. It’s not the easiest spot to find and it’s definitely not the biggest. The place was pretty full but we found out later it was basically one big party that came in. We were greeted as we sat down at the bar where we tried a number of beers. I thought all of them were fine but nothing earth shattering. The name of this place reflects the fossil molds they obtained from a place up the street. In general, I’m not one for gimmicks but I guess breweries are trying to find a way to differentiate. To me it’s a simple answer– made beer people can’t resist.

SMALL place but the beer is BIG. No food, but there is a food truck in the parking lot. One of the few breweries that makes a Ginger Ale. I didn’t try it, but I did have the Stone Age Stout. Pints are only $ 5 and a $ 16 growler. It’s a shame I don’t live in the Springs as I would make sure to come here a lot. Great beer, good, simple atmosphere and super friendly.

Another small brewery that is serving the community fine beers. Took a wrong turn getting there and realized you have t drive through the Rudy’s parking lot. Might as well grab some food on your way in if a food truck isnt there. Beers are standard and well made. They use different grain profile than most breweries in town and it shows in flavor, with a smoother and robust mouth feel. They also have paleontologist and other scientist who give talks every few weeks. Very neat idea. Worth a trip if you are taking a hike in the area.

Small joint with great beers. I love talking to the owner/brewer as I drink the beer. This is what drinking local is all about. Go check them out.

They’ve only been open for five weeks but are already rockin and rollin. We got a flight of four that included the Megalodon Blond, Evolution Ale, Pentaceratops Pumpkin Ale, and the Bee’s Knees. While all were great, the Bee’s Knees stuck out as the front runner for me. Looking forward to the Iguanadon Strong Ale nd Stone Age Stout that are«coming soon». They also make their own ginger ale from scratch. Pints of that are only $ 2 and worth every penny. They located near 31st and Cimarron, near Rudy’s BBQ.

Still the best new brewery in the springs! Just tried their new Bees Knees brew and it was amazing! The owners tend the bar and they are great! Beer snobs rejoice, there is a new place in town to hold your pinky out ;)

Came during their grand opening(so take this review with a grain of salt). They are tucked in an off-the-beaten-path location. It took me a few minutes to figure out where it was once I got there. I like that I can grab a beer there after riding at Red Rocks Open Space only a short distance away. This a small brewery, with only their house brews on tap when I went there. They didn’t have any in-house food, BUT there is a steady stream of food trucks that park outside for patrons. Their Facebook page updates folks on who is going to be there and when(something I wish that more businesses did!) As for the beer, I had their stout and their imperial IPA, both of which were pretty darn tasty. Stout had a nice roasty backbone, without being too thick in the mouth. On the drier side rather than being sweet. The IPA on the other hand was syrupy, boozy, and full of hop zip. I could see myself coming back just for the imperial ipa! Beer nerds should definitely give them a go, they seem to really care about what they are doing here.

New brewery that just opened. Great selection of beers. Got the sampler and all were smooth and delicious! Great place to come for a drink after work or before heading out for the night. They don’t have food, but have rotating food trucks. All and all a great place!
