Fargo’s in more about the experience than actually about the food. Very cool place especially for kids. Bottom line is that you are paying more for the experience than comparative Pizza, Salad Bar places. It is a must see at least once.

I grew up on Fargos… greatest place ever… twenty years ago!!! The mirror is cool, you order and then when its ready a magic mirror produces your number and poof your order is ready… very original and cool. Ok that being said its the one and only good thing here. I have very thorough knowledge of this place and its a dump!!! The owner is an absent owner and has the same top crew doing the same things for ever. You might say thats good but its not, it would be if the crew was special or worth it but they are not and constantly use the«the owner doesn’t want that» excuse. The disrepair of this establishment is really really bad and the only reason its still around is the heritage. People go here because you are supposed to… once…how many of you reviewers have gone back? The pizza and food is the cheapest shit you can buy on the market. They would serve shit on a stick if it was cheap and people wold buy it… you go here and thats what you’re buying. I kind of mouth puke when i reminisce of the cheese like substance they are putting on that round thing. The garlic bread is nasty… so bad! The player piano is kinda cool, the arcade is ok but dingy and dirty. The costumes are showing some date and the concept is dated. I seriously doubt they could even sell this money pit at this point. Maybe for the land? I am trying to figure what I would go here for??? Food… sucks bad! Service… its self serve! Ambiance… its dirty and dated like a dank basement! Friendly smiles… nope, not happy employees! Ample parking… yep thats it… ample parking!!! whoohoo there it is people… ample parking!!! So if you need a place to park FARGOSISTHEBEST… haha. On a side note: I do have tons of great memories from Fargos as a child and I want to thank the past for that, but why did you do this to such an iconic C/S place… m#$thRF*5kers!!! Tear it down and put a Montgomery wards there? Circuit city? Blockbuster? Kmart? JCPenney? Sports authority… oooh another fucking pot shop!!!

The ambience is a bit kitschy but fun. The baked spaghetti is tasty — my favorite dish. The pizza was fairly good but the salad bar doesn’t have many good options. However, it is all you eat. I don’t like that the drink bar is separate from ordering your food, but it does add character. I will be back to try different pizza but definitely Will continue to order the baked spaghetti! We did enjoy the piano.

Best pizza ever. I grew up in Colorado Springs and would go to Fargos after soccer games. Still tastes the exact same as when I was a kid. I love this place.

Came here on a school trip from Minnesota in 1992. Was in town for vacation and brought my family. It hasn’t changed very much. The ambiance was great. Player piano, lots of people, and fun décor. The bus staff never cleared anything from our table so it got a bit crowded. Pizza was ok, not the best we ever had, but in 20 years the kids will remember the experience more than the pizza anyway.

I have been going to Fargo’s my entire life. My grandparents live in the Springs and my dad grew up here. This restaurant is definitely an institution in this city. It has an old feel to it, a great salad bar, and an arcade with a good number of retro games in it. The staff is always welcoming and willing to help you out. The pizza is some of the best in the city and there are a ton of varieties in what you can order. My family usually gets the mainliner and the big red. It is a tradition we go eat here every time we are in Colorado Springs. It is both for sentimental reasons as well as how good everything tastes. Some things to know before you go are that it is counter order service, and after you order your number is displayed on a mirror to let you know when your food is ready to pick up. One odd thing is that you don’t order your drinks at the same place as your food. You have to walk past the salad bar to the bar area. This is where you order your drinks as well as any desserts you want. It is a great place for groups and the player piano creates a fun casual environment. I always look forward to going to Fargo’s and can’t wait to return!

Great food, mostly from scratch if not all, including the salad dressings. Beautiful atmosphere with the old 1800−1900s interior. It’s like you step back in time. A must place to take out of town guest.

I have been eating at Fargos since I was a little girl. Everything we come into town going to Fargos is a must. The salad bar is amazing and always fresh as is the food. The building is old and very unique inside. They do have a small game room for kids(that I wish they would update). Fun place to have birthday parties and get together a

A Colorado Springs institution! My first experience was in 1977, a little before Unilocal was around. To this day I am a fan of the shrimp and black olive pizza and the unique flavor of those combined ingredients. Overall the other pizza’s are OK and the magic mirror still gets me excited for when my order is ready. The ranch dressing is also very good! It is setup like an old time saloon inside with tons of western themed props including a self playing piano! Not much has changed in almost 40 years. Costumed workers completes the theme. I’ve always wondered why you have to buy your drinks at another station(«bar») in the restaurant? It may be a liquor license thing… Another Colorado original that makes the Springs a great place to get out of Denver for an afternoon. Check it out while taking in the other sites in the area.

I came here one night with my family, and I have to say I was mostly pleased. PROS: The atmosphere is beautiful! There’s so much to look at and see The pizza itself was pretty good, but nothing spectacular. But I have to say my favorite part was the arcade. Being a kid myself, I was a sucker for it and begged my parents for quarters! CONS: My brother had the garlic bread, and he said it nearly made him vomit. I personally think he was being dramatic, but I could be wrong. You need to come here!

Good pizza and a pretty elaborate salad bar. A great family place with a wide variety of drinks and a video game area. Weekends are busy though, so plan on it taking a bit longer to get your pizza.

Always great service and great food. Love the overall feel of the restaurant. Best salad bar in town and it is always stocked well. Love their pizza and they have the best environment for larger parties. Love this place.

Worst Pizza on Earth! Tried this place 1÷1÷16 for lunch. Fantastic looking place, very Victorian and lots of stained glass artwork everywhere. Visually it’s a stunning place where it falls down is in the quality of it’s pizzas. I ordered a beef & tomato, got a slice of carrot cake which was decent but not spectacularly good and waited for my number to come up on the mirrors. 10 minutes later my number came up, I went and got my pizza and sat down. It was kind of odd that the tomatoes weren’t baked in with the beef like every other pizza joint across the US but I was like«well that’s okay I guess, just a regional variation» and rolled with it. The tomatoes were very flavorful and fresh. Grabbed my first slice and bit into and the crust was pleasantly crisp and had the typical corn meal bottom you find a lot. What wasn’t so pleasant was the utter blandness of the rest of the ingredients. The beef was practically tasteless. The cheese was meh. Definitely NOT high quality stuff that’s for sure. But the sauce was the major downfall. COMPLETELY devoid of any taste whatsoever. It didn’t even taste like plain tomato sauce. It tasted like they had magically removed even the hint of a plain tomato sauce flavor, let alone being something more in line with an actual pizza sauce from any restaurant supply place in the US that I’ve experienced. As much as it pains me to say it, to sum it up: Little Ceasar’s $ 5 ready when you walk in the door pizza has this places pie beaten down on the ground and bloody in terms of flavor and Little Ceasar’s is barely better than a frozen Tostino’s you feed to your kids on a Friday night for a late night movie snack. Avoid their pizza like the plague if you want some value for your money. The carrot cake was okay and on the upside they had milk to go with it but the pizza was so bad I won’t be going back for either the ambiance or the dessert.

I would have easily given this place 4 stars if it weren’t for a handful of drawbacks. But as you all know I start with the positives. The first biggest positive is the parking lot and how spacious it is. The owners really planned it out well. The arcade seems to be bigger than the lobby area with old school games for those that live their retro. Holy cow this does have to be the best pizza in the Springs. We ordered the Farmer John’s without tomatoes because who in their right mind enjoys big slices of tomato on their pizza? That and the sauce makes it a tomato pizza. I’ll get off my soapbox. Very fresh ingredients and the crust held its crunch throughout, even after sitting some on the table. Ingredients tasted like they were picked from a garden and cut just hours prior to them opening for the day. Another cool aspect that makes them stand out from others is your number is on a mirror throughout. The disappointments are that if your new to the ordering system good luck. It’s not the typical sit down and order. You order at a counter, pay for it, and get your ticket with a number. Then you go to another counter to order drinks and dessert if you want. Do not go alone, always go with someone. Hmm, sounds like a warning for a haunted house during Halloween. There are two levels and both are fairly cramped. If you hate people being close to you when eating, this is not the place for you unless you can snag a corner table. Another and final negative is be aware if you sit below the second floor. You will get some of the water when the table above you gets cleaned. Maybe recommend. Honestly I don’t know, nor can I give a solid yes or no. If we head there again, which husband wants to, then I’ll edit it.

It was an interesting experience. I am not a Colorado native, but it seems to be a local favorite. I can see why. Upon walking in, you are greeted by a framed potrait of a woman baking and a frame of tens of napkins drawn on at the tabletops of Fargo’s. It was not the cleanest or updated restaurant, but it was packed for a Tuesday night. There is an old style arcade to the left of the entrance for kids and adults alike, and the games are definitely old school arcade. You order and pickup your own pizza. They have quite a large selection and use a lot of fresh vegetables. My friends and I ordered a supreme pizza. The crust was crunchy and still had and aftertaste of flour. The sauce was meager and generic. I did appreciate the toppings and multiple types of cheeses used. Ours was heavy on the tomato. It almost seemed like they sliced up 4 tomatoes and piled them on top. We also got the cheesy garlic bread. It was nothing to brag about. Also, they serve beer by the pitcher and wine by the carafe. I say this place is wonderful for groups and families, but it would not be my first pick for a pizza place in Colorado Springs. However, it brought back a lot of nostalgia for my friends, and I would go back.

The pizza was hard as a rock. The crust had a very flourie taste. The sauce was nasty. The pizza was cold. The breadsticks were not very flavorful. I dont think there was a single plate that was warm or had warm food on it. The atmosphere was pretty different to say the least. I wouldnt go back again. You cant buy you drink when you buy tour food.

FARGOS has obvio I s history and is loved by the local community. As someone who is from out of state, I found the pizza to be very good. It is FAR from fancy, but the crust is both crispy and chewy, the ingredients are quality, and the overall slice is satisfying. The root beer is in a frosty mug, and the sald bar is impressive. The hokey-gimickey atmosphere comes off as playful. The only suggestion would be some minor investments to renovate the outdated eating environment(plateware, lighting, chairs, etc). Fargos is a unique and fun experience.

Before I begin my review, I acknowledge those who go here for purely nostalgic reasons. Much like Casa Bonita in Denver, I assume that most who frequent this place are those who have grown up with it. Review won’t be long. First impression– old, outdated, unclean. Food — had supreme-like pizza with fresh tomatoes(meaning uncooked, fresh from the store, not fresh off the vine.) tried pasta too. Alfredo sauce obviously made from the packaged Parmesan cheese — lumpy, grainy. Bathroom upstairs not clean, run down, sink in one side, paper towels on wall right in front of stalls that didn’t latch. Won’t be back. Obviously. Sorry

Fargos is a charming sit-down family restaurant with crispy thin crust pizza, a salad bar, a huge arcade, and old fashioned dressed staff. The food is good, the prices are fair, and the menu is large. The small button-sized pepperonis are fun, and the salad bar is well kept and clean. Try an ice cream sundae if you’re not stuffed, these are eye candy but also quite satisfying. The interior is fantastic and impressive; the overall style is wild-west to post wild-west based on all the old fashioned revolvers, paintings and statues that decorate the place. Some other cool decorations include mirrors that display order numbers(kind of spooky), a self playing piano(also kind of spooky), chandeliers, and a fancy old-fashioned dressed mannequin couple on an apparent date seated on a loft overlooking the salad bar(hard to describe, it sounds more tacky than it really is). During Christmas they have a two story Christmas tree and the piano plays holiday tunes. Bring some quarters!
