Color in Motion 5k Colorado Springs

What an awesome event! There’s always five major colors in this fun event. Green, blue, pink, yellow and purple. If you don’t know it yet the color blue goes first. Why? It’s the color that stands out the most in a white t-​shirt. Color runs such as this originated from ancient Hindu Celebrations. The color powder is basically a mixture of cornstarch and dye that is 100% safe and biodegradable.
With your registration comes a T-​shirt, bracelet and a packet of color. Individually a packet will cost you $ 3 or 4/​$ 10. Shirts are $ 15 for adults and $ 10 for kids.
There is a fun dousing of colors as you stand around the stage to pump you up for the three mile run. Best dousing would be with with a color canon. Every pores in your body that’s facing that massive canon is going to be covered in whatever dominant color that was in it.
The run goes in waves. I’ve seen young and old run. No age limit as long as you can walk, crawl or of course run you’re in!
The event organizer provides water for all runners. A blower available to help you clean up a bit before you get into your car:)
I volunteered for this event and was working the merchandise portion of it. Next year when they’re in town I intend to run!
