I have been seeing Dr. Book since 2005 and love her. She has helped me get off and lowered medicines that I need. She is knowledgeable and take the time with you so that you understand what you should do to get better. The staff is great and always makes me feel like one of the family. Thanks

While the doctor is very thorough, she is a bit misguided. She is wise in that she accepts wisdom from her patients, but the very fact that she said I shouldn’t be using Stevia, a plant that has been used by Brazilians for hundreds, if not thousands of years (her words — «because it hasn’t been proven») and that I should be using Splenda (a chemical that caused me personally, terrible side effects) pretty summed up my reasoning for firing her.
Her office methods (scheduling, etc) are terrible. Endos in Colorado Springs are ridiculous and petty and if they are going to have an office here and perform the services needed, then I might suggest having several doctors or PAs in the practice. I have never been somewhere where I couldn’t email my blood glucose records and get recommendations without having to schedule another appointment… which is always several months out anyway.
