Make sure you check your bill. They asked me if I wanted to get their«optomap» eye imaging service. They offer this instead of dialating your eyes. Insurance does not cover it and it costs $ 39.99. I said I did not want this service. They told me I had to sign a piece of paper acknowledging I did not want to spend the money. Then they did the«optomap» anyways! They said I wouldn’t be charged??? The girl offering the service said I could not sign the piece of paper turning down the service until I was counseled on all their services. They included the charge on the final bill. I pointed out to them that I had refused the service and would not pay. The gal behind the counter got huffy and said she would have to «check to see» that I had not agreed. She came back and removed the charge. WTF??? I felt like like I was being treated as some kind of criminal for not paying for a service I clearly told them was not wanted… Not happy — thinking I might have to go elsewhere next time. Sad, I really liked them — maybe they are too big now?

Terrible service! I must have threatened to interrupt their fourth of July holiday by coming in on July 2. This is not a «Walk ins Welcome«as their sign advertises. It’s a shame because I enjoyed going to them when they were on Centennial

What a great experience! Very professional, very helpful. I’ve been going to another place in the mall and although there hadn’t been a bad experience per se, something seemed off. I ordered contacts at the mall store and they never seemed right. This is where other reviews of Abba Eyewear were not helpful. Dr Garwood was truly helpful. She could have sold me contacts like the other store, but she pointed out that with my prescription, it would be very hit or miss because of my prescription. She could have gone ahead and had me purchase them, like the other optometrist, but she did the ethical thing and recommended I not get them. Then the team that helped me choose my frames were very friendly, professional and helpful. I was looking at an expensive pair of frames, but the sales team was so helpful in helping me choose a much better pair that was more than half the cost. Once again, not putting the almighty dollar above the customer. I’ve found my new optometrist and eyewear store!

My experience with this Abba eye care positive. I got a small piece of metal in my eye, and I called the office. It was at the end of the day and Dr Garwood was about to go home. She waited for me to get there then worked late so she could get the metal out of my eye. The visit was affordable and everyone there was very friendly and professional. I had a couple of fallow up appointments to make sure I was healing ok and the visits were always positive and the waits were short.

I’ve gone to Abba Eye Care for years and would have given them a 4 to 5 star rating easily. But that was until our most recent visit, where my wife and I were both going to get some new shades. No one even acknowledged us for at least 10 minutes, and then no one attended to us for at least another 10 minutes. We picked out our glasses, the employee checked our eye insurance and said everything checked out. My glasses were on hand but my wife’s glasses had to be ordered. A few hours after we paid and were back home we got a phone call saying that we were unable to use our insurance benefits until year’s end, and would have to return my sunglasses. This is very frustrating because the employee said our insurance was in order. So we had to drive the 15 or so miles back and return the glasses. So all in all the customer service sucked this time around and it was a huge waste of our time and gas. If they don’t change their ways they’re bound to lose that Gazette«Best of The Springs» award.

Awful. Kerry Garwood is supposed to be a professional but obviously has no clue what she’s talking about and is highly argumentative. She can’t seem to understand that two pairs of contacts came from the same strip of sample contacts. But of course, I’m wrong. They’re entirely different. Nope sorry. They’re the same. Before I started seeing her I also hadn’t seen an eye doctor in a while(10 years) and she was entirely dismissive of the idea of dilating my eyes and giving me a full exam. Screw glaucoma, right? Who cares? Do yourself a favor and skip this OPTOMETRIST and instead go and see a real doctor. An OPHTHALMOLOGIST. That’s what I should have done but I went for the convenient, close to work location like a fool. The staff is also pretty rude as well. They must force staff members to vote in the independent best of category. I have no idea how they earned best of anything.

I can’t comment on their eyewear. I have been in this location looking for a pair of glasses and couldn’t get anyone to wait on me. I know another person who couldn’t get help either. Being short staffed is not a good way to run a business.

So far so good! These glasses are working out great! I am pretty darn picky when it comes to my vision, and have had multiple-visit experiences with several companies due to my very particular needs in my vision. I work in a high-line customer service industry, and I am in and out of the building, with customers, on the computer, in, under and around cars. There is no option, I need to see what is going on, and have the right hardware to do it. My insurance changed, and I could not use my previous provider. I had heard of Abba as a local company, and they deserved a try. We came in, the associate was helpful, and we had a large selection to choose from. After we had our choices, we filled out an interest survey to determine what we needed our eyewear to do. From there, we discussed options, everything from tint to the actual shape of the progressive on the lens! When it was all said and done, we waited for them to come in. They arrived promptly, and when we arrived, it was a quick visit. My vision was ‘boom’ perfect right there. I had some looseness in the frame that concerned me, and Isaac was on top of it, popped the hinge off, adjusted and refit it in no time at all. My wife and I are very satisfied with Abba Eyecare.
