I purchased our heating and ac unit from them several years ago. It did not cool the upstairs as promised, nor did it save on our oil bills. But we lived with it. Several weeks ago the heater would not start. A service person came the next day and could find nothing wrong, but indicated that we needed chimney liner to the tune of $ 1700, but that if we agreed to become a service customer, they would cut the price to $ 1100. That cost me $ 100. They came back and serviced the theater– another $ 150. Yesterday when I came home from work, the heater was off again. I called and spoke to Joe who I think is the owner, and was assured that someone would call to come out the next day. No one called during the day and when I got home the house was cold again. I have called the answering service 3 times tonight with no response. I contacted my oil company delivery service, and they answered the phone promptly on the coldest night of the year. Hopefully one of their people will be here tomorrow. I will never use Guaranteed again as they appear to be incompetent and do not provide reliable service when really needed, on the coldest night of the year so far.
