I tried the catering here. I had a buy two chicken cater get one of equal or less value free coupon. Used the coupon for small catering trays. I got two small trays of BBQ chicken for $ 23.99 each; and a small tray of fire chicken for $ 24.99. Total with coupon total was $ 53.39. Good portions but it’s a la cart, so you get your own rice and side orders. I tried to post photos but I cant.

We went shopping the other day at Aaron Brothers and we decided to grab a quick meal nearby so we asked an employee where we should go. His response was, «Ono Hawaiian. It’s FRESH! And everyone’s favorite around this place.» We were very glad he suggested this place to us because the food was very fresh and hot. The Aloha Plate comes with a nice salad with a miso-like dressing and rice while the regular Hawaiian Plate comes with rice and macaroni salad. The Spicy Chicken was a little too sweet and the macaroni salad was bland. Their hot sauce is gross and they don’t have Siracha available that I could see but I was too lazy to ask. We enjoyed the Grilled Chicken and BBQ Beef while the Chicken Katsu was outstanding. The portions are pretty big. This is a great spot for a healthier fast food option.

This evening I went to this location to go eat great Hawaiian food. I order Kalua pig with all rice. After getting back to my destination, I begin to eat my food, when I noticed a piece of hair about 3 inches long, cooked in with the Kalua pork. I’m not a fan with hair in my food, the cooks don’t wear hats. I do not recommend eating Hawaiian food at this location.

Never a sour experience. I call in and order the same thing everytime I go. Short ribs, less rice more mac and no cabbage. The women are always nice but they never seem to get my name right. I’ve been called everything from Alicia to Tony. Lol I think it’s funny cause my name is Taelor but I get the place gets loud it’s hard to hear. Ha 11⁄13 Today my name was JR lol

First time having Hawaiian fast food and it was pretty good! Definitely loved the portion size and the price was great for the amount of food I received. Food quality is consistent and the spare ribs are great. The meats did remind me of Korean BBQ though. Now I know where I’ll go if I’m craving Galbi and want something similar for cheaper! Wasn’t a huge fan of the Mac salad. My friend got a seafood mix, and the fried fish was great. Perfectly crisp batter with tender flakiness inside. Perfect combo with tartar sauce. I also loved the detail of cooked cabbage on the bottom. It brought some balance to the heaviness of the protein. Service was decent and they seemed to push out the orders quickly. Definitely will come again whenever I’m feeling up for some rich food!

This Ono location is far superior than the one on Sloat. There are far more seats, and is noticeably more spacious. No one likes to be cramped; the one on Sloat is very uncomfortable and claustrophobic. Conveniently located next to shopping centers and department stores, this food establishment will fill anyone’s hungry stomach. The curry chicken katsu is really good. The curry sauce is so hearty and rich. It makes for a perfect dip with the chicken. Add a fried egg on top of the dish, and you have a 5 star meal waiting to be devoured. But make sure to take a picture and post on social media first to make others jealous and ask you where you got it! Be sure to keep in a secret though. It will only make them want it more. ;D
