Just OK this time. We called earlier in the day to reserve space for 15 first timers. The room was crowded with settings for two other parties and decorated for a birthday party. Long story short, Chinese décor was missing, service was very slow, and the food was disappointing. We come here expecting exceptional dishes. If we had stopped at a Chinese buffet we could have passed over the greasy egg rolls, cool soup, and lackluster entrees. Needless for me to say my credibility after recommending this place to 13 friends has been severely strained.

What has happened? It has never measured up to «Old Peking» that used to be at this location. The owners of Peking garden cut cost on quality of ingredients but still food was okay. Last night I ordered carry out. I brought it home put it in the oven to eat later since I had something to do. Before I got to it I received a call from them and a voice message saying there was a problem with the bill. I called them back and the owner tells me she forgot to charge me for my pork fried rice. And that she had accidentally gave me another customers shrimp fried rice. I checked and sure enough it was the gentleman that came in right after I did his shrimp fried rice. She then said the shrimp fried rice is a little higher than the pork fried rice and was going to add that to my credit card I used to pay for the meal. I told her she would not because I wouldn’t pay for something I didn’t order. Then she said I’ll just change you the price of the pork fried rice. Again I said I would not pay for that since I didn’t get what I ordered. Someone needs to teach them customer service. I can’t believe she had the nerve to call and try to get me to pay for her mistakes.

Great food, we came with the family and extended family so decided to order several assorted dishes. Everything was freshly prepared, everybody, including kids, we’re very happy with all the dishes. Would definitely recommend.

There is no Chinese food that I have had throughout the country that has ever compared to this restaurant. The food is amazing and it is the only Chinese food that I crave. All the meals are amazing and it is nothing like the fast food take out type. Anyone I’ve ever brought with me has raved about their meal.

In for a business trip. Food was excellent, staff was helpful, friendly, and attentive. Used to be a home, it seems, and we weren’t sure they were still open when we found the place. Parking lot around back!

Another WOW review. Had the pork chop suey and hot and sour soup and they were awesome. Great flavors and freshly made. What’s even more amazing is this was a take-out order and they gave me plastic utensils.. Most places always forget the tools. I’ll definitely be back.

This is great food for the area. I been here twice. Solid meals each time. I have shrimp and they were cooked right and large. Good value. Service was good. Just to bad only 2 tables tonight so did not feel as good. Did not ask for desert, so maybe they do not have any. One negative is the tea. Terrible for a Chinese restaurant. Should have green or jasmine tea option. Would go back

Wow is right! This place was a pleasant surprise. Tucked away in this small town is a really great authentic Chinese restaurant. The food and service was great. Black pepper three ways was great!

Wow! I am new to the area and happened upon Peking Garden. I placed a take out order and it was FANTASTIC! They used real, fresh vegetables — something not often found in chinese food places. I will definitely reorder from them. And — make sure you bring a 20% off 2nd entrée coupon with you — which can be found on their website. You won’t regret the decision!

Peking Garden is the best Chinese around. My wife and I live in Edwardsville which has some 6 or so Chinese restaurants and we drive to Collinsville. She always gets the Hunan chicken and I get General Tso’s. The soups are good, I like egg drop and hot and sour. Egg rolls and crab rangoon also good. Great fried rice and we love the hot tea. The atmosphere is nice, servers are wonderful, and we always enjoy our time there.

Awesome. Simply awesome. One of my friends lived in Collinsville for a while and found this little gem. I really, really miss it. The service, atmosphere, price, and, of course, food, are absolutely perfect. I highly recommend the Garlic Beef.

This place replaced what used to be Old Peking Restaurant. When they closed up shop, these folks dropped in to pick up the location. They seem to be using most of the same stuff as Old Peking did, the dishes and most of the décor seem similar. They have walled off a portion of the restaurant with a not-so-nice looking commercial door, which takes a bit away from the original ambiance. The food, though, has not missed a beat. It is just as hot and delicious as it was as Old Peking. Good, sit-down, non-buffet, non-chain Chinese food is rare these days, this is one of the few left that really shine!

The best Chinese food you will ever have, served by the most caring owners in the entire world. Not only did I work on and off for Old Peking throughout college, the owners always treated me like family. Unfortunately, they closed a couple years ago. On the last night they were open I stopped in for a final meal, walked around to say goodbye to the owners, saw they were taking some pictures with aunts and uncles and siblings in the main dining room, and hung back to say my goodbyes during a picture break. This was ridiculous, apparently, and they basically«forced» me into taking some family pictures with them. The owners have a cool story. Kin Sun’s husband is an American she met while he was in the service. She barely spoke any English, they were able to fall in love anyway, and she ran away from home to be with him instead of marrying the rich doctor her father had chosen for her. Eventually, her brother convinced the family to give this guy a chance, and everything ended happily ever after. I miss Old Peking! They always served us dinner before the evening shift, and I tried literally everything on the menu. It was all awesome. There is a new Chinese restaurant in the building now, but I’ve never been because I don’t want to ruin the Old Peking memories I have.
