In 2007 my employer of 30 years laid off 88 people across the US of A and I was one of them. During the bleak 6 months that ensued, we started visiting the nearby Canton OSJL initially as an inexpensive source of entertainment, but soon we learned to appreciate it as a pretty sweet place to buy things at ridiculously low prices. Spices are dirt cheap here. Foil pans in every shape and size cost pennies. Name brand golf shirts are $ 5. Six packs of Polar soda cost $ 1 — yes, one freaking dollar for 6 cans– that’s less than 17 cents a can. I love salsa– and they carry Brad’s Hot Salsa for $ 2 a jar. It’s one of the best versions I have had. Want a 4 lb can of Green Giant mushrooms? Of course you do. Of course they have it here… It goes on and on — shampoo, disposable razors, boxes of cereal, granola bars, dishwasher soap, jars of pickles and olives for dirt cheap next to nothing prices. We buy them regularly Some of the Ocean States I have visited are kind of run down(Berlin and Windsor come to mind) but this one is neat and clean and well organized, The Internet Coupon section is usually well stocked. The cashiers are pleasant, We love this place!
